A Visit to Napa for Nature Friday

Arty here today to share some of the nature I saw on my trip to Napa Valley last weekend!

We went to the St. Supery Winery, where Mama and Daddy have their wine club. We picked up their wine order, did a bit of wine tasting, and then took a walkie around the winery!

St. Supery is a medium size winery and has two vineyards.

We visited the Rutherford Estate, where the winery is located.

The leaves are just starting to pop out on some of the grapevines.

One good thing about all the rain California had this winter is everything is blooming and the hills are so very green! I found this Wisteria just starting to bloom!
The skies were so very blue!!

Here I am sitting in the front garden of the winery.

The flowers look a bit like wine and sunsets, don't you think?

Some of you asked what the statue I was posing in front of on Monday was. I know Aunty Sandra and a few others guessed correctly when they said it was a cork screw! Those round things to the left are wine corks!
Pretty cool, huh??

Thanks for joining me for my winery nature stroll! Join me Monday when I tell you more about my fun day with Mama and Daddy!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a walk! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE

  3. Arty, that was a wonderful visit. Thanks you so much for taking us along. The 'wine and sunset' flowers are gorgeous. And yes we agree, rainfall does make the landscape lovely and green. Gail is now wondering where she can join a wine club in Scotland.

  5. Love your header. All the flowers were so very pretty and the pictures of the winery looked like a painting. Mom misses California, she loved getting to visit there although she never made it to the Napa Valley, maybe one day she can.

  6. We got about 4 inches of rain this weekend, so no nature photos for us sadly. Mom says she lived on Lake Constance in Germany for a couple years and there were lots of wineries there. She doesn't drink but she enjoyed walking there with her dog at the time. Hoppy Easter Weekend!

  7. We think it's really cool that you got to go to a winery, Arty. And that giant corkscrew...wow! Wouldn't it be even more fun to go to a giant dog cookie bakery? Hmmm... xoxox Xena and Lucy
