Nature Friday at the Botanical Garden

Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week Mama and I are going to show you the Daffodils and Lenten Roses blooming at the ABQ Botanic Garden.

The Lenten Roses are so pretty in the sunlight, don't you think??

Look at this one with the sun shining behind it!

Mama saw two different colors. The dark purple, like this one....

...and lighter blooms with purple edges!

The daffies were just finishing blooming when Mama visited.

She did find a few nice collections of blooms

Did you know that daffodils are sometimes called Lent lilies because they, like Lenten roses,  also usually bloom during the same time as lent.

There are over 200 varieties of Daffodils!

Always remember to be the daffodil in a field of dirt!

We hope you enjoyed todays look at the daffies and Lenten Roses Mama found and, as always, we hope all our friends get out and see some nature this weekend!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  This is a Blog Hop!

Just glorious!!! And I hang my head in shame because in a menomoment while scheduling posts, I have not provided a nature shot at all. Still I think mama will like what's there so am going to slip the link here just to be sharey and fairy. Or something. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  6. Mom doesn't ever recall seeing lentin roses before. They kind of look wilted but they also look very pretty and delicate. Happy Friday and Nelson says he is going to be a daffodil in the mud this weekend but Mom said that isn't going to happen, LOL!

  16. Lulu: "Our Dada says I'm more likely to be an excavator in a field of dirt than a daffodil. Should I be insulted? I think I should maybe be insulted ..."
Java Bean: "Ayyy, it's true though!"
Lulu: "Oh yes it's 100% true."
