Happy Summer from Sasebo Gardens

Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week we are back for our June peek at Sasebo Japanese Garden.

Everything is so very green as we enter the Summer months....

The paths are nice and shady which is good. The temperatures have been getting in the 80s by 9AM, when Mama usually gets to the garden for her walks, and the New Mexico sun is brutal!

The peonies are coming to the end of their blooming cycle...but the pink petals still look pretty.

Here are a few views of the waterfall.
It is mostly in the shade now too.

These are some kind of pretty berries.

These beautiful yellow day lilies were everywhere!

Mama also found this deep purple wild iris (she thinks it may be a Louisiana Wild Iris).

Here is a short video of her walk:

(As always, feel free to visit our YouTube Channel HERE)

We hope all our friends can get out and find some nature on this first official weekend of Summer.

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

  1. Is that a tree peony Rosie - or the kind that grows from a tuber underground?

  4. Such pretty flowers. We are still on a roller coaster here. 90's one day, 60's the next and lots of rain days but everything is luscious green!
