Winter Skies

Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. Before we go any further we wanted to thank everyone who stopped by and wished Mama well yesterday. She goes to an orthopedist later this month to see what is going on, but her knee/leg is feeling a bit better every day.

Now, on to Nature Friday! This week, we are taking a look at some of the beautiful sunrises we have had so far this winter.

The mornings start with dark pinks and purples like in the top picture, then they explode into the second picture, bright oranges and dark purply blues. Finally, right before the sun rises, the colors brighten into the colors in the picture above before the colors fade into the colors of coming day.

I'm glad Mama gets these pictures because usually I am napping on the couch when this happens BOL!

"Just like the days, no two sunrises are the same"
Jonathan P. Lamas

We hope you enjoyed our little look at New Mexico sunrises, this time of year they really put on a beautiful show.

We hope all of  our friends get out and enjoy some nature this weekend!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

  3. there is nothing in nature that I love more than sunrise. that is my favorite time of the morning and we see it every morning. we time our walks not by the clock but sunrise.. these are spectacular and I am assuming this is from your yard, since you have a bum leg.. Prayers it heals soon, and thankful praises for these awesome sunrises... you have so much Big Sky to see it all. Ours is blocked by civilization and over building

  5. Those are some beautiful skies and clouds! We are usually out walking at sunrise but we haven't seen much as it has been cloudy or foggy most mornings the past couple weeks.

  6. What beautiful sunrises you have, Rosy. They are almost as pretty as you. It's been so cloudy around here lately we rarely see a sunrise or sunset.
