Welcome to Nature Friday where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. Today, we are going to take a little drive through the Spanish Peaks area of Colorado (near where we stayed in LaVeta last month).

Views unfolded over every mountain

It seemed as if we had the roads all to ourselves...

...and we took our time to savor every mountain we saw.

You may be wondering why I am wearing all my Texas Longhorn stuff....Well our team played a nail biting game last week and WON! Mama has been celebrating all week (which includes dressing Sunny and I in a lot of burnt orange).
Anyway...let's get back to our Colorado ride

This barn mural was very cool, and made us feel like we had traveled back in time!

The Spanish Peaks have these cool wall like formations called "dikes" that run through the area.

All and all it was a beautiful drive, full of pretty scenery!

Thanks for joining us today for our little drive through the Spanish Peaks area of Southern Colorado.
We hope all our friends get to experience some nature this weekend and...
Hook Em Horns!!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.
congrats to your team... and we love this old barns ... they are like a survivor of a time what was sometimes a little better than our modern times...

Congrats to your Texas Longhorns and what beautiful adventures you had through the Spanish Peaks!
ReplyDeleteThere were some amazing football games last weekend besides the Vikings, I guess. Glad your team did so well. Colorado mountains are pretty but Mom likes them with snow the best although it makes travel rough.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your vistas. We are nestled in to a wetland, mostly covered by trees.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us along!
ReplyDeleteYou're so cute in your Texas gear, Rosy. That sure was beautiful scenery you took in on that trip.
ReplyDeleteWell Niece Rosy AC thinks any a cloudy day in the mountains is a OK as is any day in the lovely ranges. Now I want coffee
ReplyDeleteHugs to you, Niece Sunny and the staff
