Nature Friday - A Ride to the Divide

Welcome to Nature Friday where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville.

Before we get started, I wanted to thank everyone for all the well wishes. My back is feeling a little better every day and I am almost done taking all my meds(which make me feel wonky). Nobody is sure how I hurt my back. I have always been what Daddy calls, a "leaping gnome" and jump down from the bed, the couch and other places humans think are too high. The pawrents think I may have landed wrong after one of my leaps.....
Needless to say, Mama says I won't be leaping anymore.

Anyways....today, for Nature Friday, we have some leftover Colorado pictures from a ride the pawrents took to see another part of the Continental Divide.
Mountains through the raindrops.....

Wet roads and blue skies

Cloudy views

The Continental Divide

We have seen the Continental Divide in New Mexico, too.

A view from up high....

Autumn colors on the ride back....

...and the Harvest Moon to wrap things up!

Thanks for joining us for a last look at our Pagosa Springs and Colorado trip. Today we are heading to Gallup, New Mexico where there isn't as much nature but there is more Route 66 stuff!!

We hope all our friends get to experience some nature this weekend!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

  9. That's really BIG country out there Rosie. What great vistas. Imagine how the first newcomer humans to the region felt when they broke through into those areas!

  11. Rosy, how did we miss that you hurt your back?! Angel Lexi jumped off our kitchen counter onto a hard floor, and she hurt herself, too. Please be careful, my friend. Oh, and your pictures are so pretty. We all especially liked the one of the harvest moon under the spooky looking clouds and over the Halloween colored clouds! Woof! Keep getting better and try not to get hurt again, OK? XOX Your good friend Xena

  12. We're so sorry you hurt your back and hope you continue to feel better. Mama is right...no more jumping!

The drive to Wolf Creek Pass is a beautiful one in autumn...not so much in the winter when there's snow feet high! Thanks for sharing those beautiful scenes of the Continental Divide.

  13. Java Bean: "Ayyy, so that's the Continental Divide! Our Dada is wondering if you saw John Belushi or Blair Brown there. We have no idea what he's talking about, as usual."
