Mini Dory here to show you all the pretty flowers we saw on our tropical adventure!
Mama thinks this is a Passion flower....
we don't know why she just can't call
it a pretty yellow flower!
Mama says this might be a mini type of hibiscus...but we aren't sure so we say
it is a pretty purply flower!
Can you see why they call this a Peacock Bush?
Look at the pretty orange and yellow flowers!
Here is a yellow Allamanda flower
Here is a beautiful red Hibiscus flower
And to wrap up Flower Friday we have a pretty pink Hibiscus!!

ReplyDeleteDory, that purple flower is actually a Mexican Petunia. I know because landscapers here use them everywhere. Unfortunately, it is an invasive species. We had it in our backyard and it took 3 years to remove enough of the plants and roots for it to NOT grow back. It was taking over our garden and pushing out all the other plants/flowers. Now, our stupid neighbor has planted them along the border of our properties and they are once again springing up everywhere in our yard! They may be pretty but they are a pain in the butt!

Those flowers are magnificent! I have never seen a peacock bush before. I'll admit that i use the same flower names as Dory! Purple, yellow, orange flowers. Haha! ♥
