Last Friday I had my big girl surgery. I like being a big girl...but this donut, not so much.
I don't remember much after Mama dropped me off at the dogtur, but now have a hair free tummy with an itchy spot that I want to lick and lick but I CAN'T because of this silly blue donut!
Mama gives me nommy treats that make me sleepy and makes my tummy not so itchy...and then the blue donut magically disappears.
But when I wake up it is always back around my neck!
I say PPPttthhhhhhhwap to neck donuts!!
Well Rosy, think about it this way. Once the donut has been finally put away, you'll be able to play with us big boys and no-one will be worrying about unintended consequences...
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
at least that donut is better than this cone... who wants to look like a louspeaker with legs ;O))) we are glad that efurrything went well and we wish you a speedy recovery ...
ReplyDeleteThis, too, shall pass!

ReplyDeleteOMD Rosy, you gave us no warning so that we, in turn, could pawpare you for the short-term pains which come with this long-term gain of being a grown wummin!!! Don't fret, pet, it will be gone soon enough. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
It won't be long before that blue donut will find its way back into the closet on the top shelf, Rosy. I am sending you lots of healing vibes!
ReplyDeleteIt will all be over soon.
ReplyDeleteI had that surgery when I was four and it was no fun. I didn't try to lick anything, so I had no donut, but I was a real baby. Bailie didn't lick either, and she was young like you. Madison won't have surgery unless it becomes necessary Mom has decided. Panties for her now and then I guess.
ReplyDeleteOh my word Miss Rosy SassyPants...I do believe if you walked down the runway accessorized with this lovely neck wear you would start a new fashion trend.
ReplyDeleteI love that last photo with you make a raspberry at the Mama!!
Hugs and kitty kisses to your itchies and we hope Mama's head cold is better
Madi your bfff
Dang pretty Rosy, those donuts are such a pain in the neck!
ReplyDeleteOh, you poor baby. You do look so pitiful. I know it will feel like 87 days, but really, only a few more days and you will feel like your good puppy self again. Xena had her first heat, and the vet recommends 2 more "safe" heats before she gets her big girl surgery. I'm sure she will also be wearing the blue donut.
ReplyDeletesorry you have to wear the adorable donut, but if you look at the photo of yourself you will see how cute it makes you look. hope you can lose the donut soon. when i asked the vet if Jake could use one of these, he said no, dogs with long legs can't wear them, he had to wear the cone of shame and hated it
ReplyDeleteDear Puppy Pal Rosy,
ReplyDeleteI totally sympathize with you since I just had my big boy surgery a few weeks ago. I thought I would never be able to scratch that itch on my tummy - I had to wear the dreaded cone. But take hope, you WILL get rid of that donut. Just play it up bigtime so Mom gives you lots of extra treats.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Hope you feel better real soon!
ReplyDeleteNeck donuts are definitely the NO FUN kind of donuts. But congrrats on being a big girl now!
ReplyDeleteCan your mom have you wear a baby Onesie to be more comfortable?
ReplyDeleteKeep Calm & Bark On!
Murphy & Stanley
I hope you get well soon. I also hope you can say good riddance to that Blue Doughnut.
ReplyDeleteOh No Rosie, but those things have to happen. We know you will be glad when that blue donut just goes away. It shouldn't be too much longer. You are still one very cute doggie. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYah in that case. Id say NO to that donut also!! hope you feel better soon
ReplyDeleteWags
oreo
All in good it time sweet girl. 💞
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah. That's not the GOOD kind of doughnut. Sorry, Rosy. But give it time and your tummy will feel good as new and you'll be running around with your brothers!
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
I can relate Rosy as I had to wear one of those donuts too. But soon all will be well and you will be good as new
ReplyDeletehugs
Auntie Mabel
If you can't eat it, it's NOT a good donut. But you do look fetching in the blue.
ReplyDeleteHope you are all healed up and donut free soon!
Abby Lab
We hope you are feeling better and out of the cone soon.
ReplyDeleteDonuts weren't intended for the neck. They were meant for the tummy. Do you need someone to have a talk with your mom so she gets you the right kind of donut?
