Happy Flag Day Everybuddy! This is a day the US honors our National Flag. The Stars and Stripes flag design was approved on this date back in 1777!
The need for a national flag came after the Declaration of Independence was signed, before then each colony had its own flag.
One of the first national flag designs had the stars shaped in a circle to represent all 13 colonies as equals.

ReplyDeleteHappy Flag Day! We have our flags flying all over the country right now as well. And several other countries have the same. Nothing to do with National Flag Day though and everything to do with the European Football (Soccer) Championships.
