Waiting for Daddy on Aaaaw Monday

Hi Mama! I am just sitting here waiting for Daddy to get home.

Everyday, around 5:30pm, I wait by the gate because I know this is when Daddy comes home.  I am the first dog since my Angel brother Bilbo that can tell time. Isn't that right Mama?!

Sometimes Daddy is running late but that's ok.

I'll just wait here Mama, I don't want Daddy to think I am neglecting him!!

(From Mama, I took this series over a period of an hour last Friday, as Sunny's Daddy got stuck in the office 45 minutes later than usual. Sunny didn't give up though, she stayed at the gate until her Daddy walked through the door!)

  2. Sunny, I too can tell the time, but Gail says I am not quite as precise as was my predecessor Hamish the Westie. He used to attend Gail's German conversation group, knew to the nearest minute when the allotted hour and a half was up (when he started barking so they knew too)! The Germans teacher used to call him "unsere Wecker" ("our alarm clock")

  3. I bet your daddy is super happy to have you greet him when he gets home. We can tell time but it is more for when Mom needs to quit working and take us for our evening walk.

  6. Way to go, Sunny. We can all tell time, especially feeding time and bed time. Angel Lexi could even tell days! She always knew when it was Thursday and he should be going to the theater to perform. But that's a story for another day. XOX Xena and Lucy

  7. That's so sweet that you wait for your daddy every day he is at work. Walter is our time keeper but since our pawrents are retired he only lets us know when it's time for a meal (ours or our pawrents).

  8. Doggies are so smart! When Chester sees me wearing my white uniform pants, he knows I'm going to work and gives me the cold shoulder. He's all happy when I get home, though.

  11. Lulu: "Dadas like having a greeting committee when they walk in the door at the end of the day!"
Charlee: "Is one dog really a greeting committee?"
Lulu: "Of course. There's the dog, and then there's the wagging tail. Boom! Committee."
