We are on the road. We will try to visit everyone this weekend, but it may not be today. Mama and Daddy said something about trying to stay "disconnected" and enjoying our time together as a family during our vacation.
We'll be back to normal visiting on Tuesday!
(The following post has been prerecorded)
Top o' the mornin' to ya, and Happy St Patrick's Day!
It's also Nature Friday, and today we want to share a few of the birdies we've been seeing around our 'hood.
The (American)Robins have started gathering at the water fountain in the morning to gossip.
Here is a formation of Sand Hill Cranes flying over our house.
It's always a treat for Mama to see the Cooper's Hawk watching over the back yard
(as long as he leaves the little birdies alone)
Mama has also been taking some bird watching walks on Tingley Beach
Mama saw this American Coot...
Here is a Black Crowned Night Heron hunting for breakfast....
Mama says she hasn't seen one of these (a Hooded Merganser) since we left California!
We'll close this week's St. Patrick's Nature Friday
with this pretty Cormorant

Lulu: "Happy St. Patrick's Day!"
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Any day is a good day for bird watching, amirite?"
Happy St Patrick's Day. I can't tell the difference between your live posts and your recorded one. That's the sign of a pro.
ReplyDeleteWe're so glad you had a good St. Patrick's Day! We enjoyed seeing your bird pictures. The robins around here look a little different than the one in your picture. Maybe there's a bit of variation between the robins East and West.
ReplyDeleteY'all sure do have a lot of birdies, and I am very impressed that you know all their breeds. Hmm, do birds have breeds? XOX Lucy
ReplyDeleteHey, Sunny, are you wearing eyelash extensions? XOXOX Chia
Hope the weather was better than expected and you had a grand time! Lee and Phod living in snowsqualles.
