A Guided Tour of RC by Rosy

Hi everybody! Due to popular demand, today we thought we would give you a tour of RC!
(We'll be back to tell you about our trip to Tucumcari next week)


Come on in and make yourself comfortable.....
April Fool's BOL! 
Mama says this is too WAY big and even our house isn't this fancy!

For real though, come on in and let me show you around.
Believe it or not, RC is only a foot longer than CeCe. Having the open cab(driving area) plus having two places that slide out makes RC look and feel WAY bigger!
When you first come in, you will see the dinette and TV. 
The folks eat here and sometimes Daddy does some work stuff here.

Across from the dinette is the couch. This is where the pawrents sit and unwind after a long day of taking me for hikes!

This is also where we buckle up when we're on the road and where Sunny sleeps at night.

Here is the kitchen, where Mama makes our dinner and sometimes dinner for her and Daddy too! FYI, Mama actually prepares most of the people food before she leaves the house and heats it up on the road. There is a bunch more room for her to cook in RC if she needed to though.

Behind this door on the right is the human bathroom(because, you know, they make us go outside).

It has a nice sized shower...

...and a bunch more counter space than CeCe had!

...and this is my favorite room!

The bedroom! It has a nice queen size bed so Daddy and I can let Mama sleep here too!

But do you know my most favorite thing about the bedroom???

See that piece of wood where my nose is pointing??? 

That's A DOOR!!! 
That's right, believe it or not, this helps keep things routine for both Sunny and I. You see, we aren't used to sleeping in the same room at home. When we went on trips in CeCe, it really threw Sunny and I for a loop because we(especially Sunny) really need the same routine so we don't get grumpy. Needless to say, this door has been a game changer in keeping RV canine peace.



I hope you enjoyed my little tour of RC today. Our next trip is in two weeks and I will try and remember to have Mama take a couple of pictures so you can see what RC looks like with the slide closed!

Adventure Walks

There is nowhere I'd rather be
than on a walk with my Daddy.
He let's me sniff everything, 
even cow patties!

Things take on a exciting spin
when it's an adventure walk just me and him.
Even if Mama's there, I'm usually happy
She's stays in the background, photo snapping.

On these special walks, I take the lead,
Darting hear and there smelling where all creatures have pee-ed

I'm always sniffing for lizards and bunnies,
The pawrents laugh, they think it's funny.

Then I flush out a lizard, he's just out of reach,
If only Daddy wasn't on the other side of my leash!

Thankful for my Comfy RC Couch

 
Today I, Sunny, am very thankful for my comfy bed in RC. Mama and Daddy may call it the couch during the evening.....but for naptime AND bedtime it becomes a very comfy place for me to spread out and catch up on my snoozies!

Overnight at the Route 66 Casino RV Resort

A couple of weeks ago, we took RC for her first overnight trip to the Route 66 Casino RV Park. About 30 miles southeast of us, the Route 66 Casino RV Park was the perfect place to make sure everything in RC was in good working order. It was far enough away that Daddy could get a feel of how it would be towing JeeJee the Jeep and close enough that, if anything happened, we could easily get home!


All the blinds worked well. I, Sunny, spent a lot of time looking out the window.


We had the park almost all to ourselves because it was windy and chilly outside.


....and there were a couple of passing storms.


That didn't bother us though, and we got out for lots of walkies!


We saw a pretty sunset....


Daddy took a walk to the casino, and took this cool nighttime picture.


After Daddy got back, we all got a good night's sleep!


We got up early the next morning, and helped
watched Daddy and Mama check things out and pack up to go home!


"You doing ok out there, Daddy?"


Here we are with RC...Isn't she a beauty???


We are happy to report that only a few very minor things are in need of repair, and nothing big enough to stop us from our next trip to Tucumcari, NM!!

March at the Sasebo Japanese Garden


Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. Today, on this first Friday of Spring, we wanted to take you back to see what is blooming at the Sasebo Japanese Garden(part of the ABQ BioPark Botanic Gardens). 

We showed you how it looked during February in this post, and today we want to share how it looks when the blooms just begin to peek out in March.

The Magnolia tree is starting to bloom,

They have the most delicate little flowers

Mama thinks this may be a Dwarf Weeping Cherry Tree 


It was also just starting to bloom!


I was worried about that weeping tree for a minute, but Mama reminded me that it is called a "Weeping"
tree because the branches are droopy and not because it cries a lot.
Whew! I just hate when trees are sad, don't you??


The waterfall still looks pretty much the same, except we can see a few green buds on those big trees.


Behind the pond, Mama saw a Pink Magnolia tree blooming!

She was very happy to be able to catch these blooms earlier this week because the temperatures dipped way below freezing last night and she is afraid the pretty blooms may not have made it.

We hoped you enjoyed our March tour of the Sasebo Garden. Mama hopes to see a bunch more blooming soon and looks forward to going back in a few weeks to see even more color!


In the meantime, Sunny will be back next Friday to show you some of what is blooming in the other parts of the ABQ Botanical Gardens.

We sure hope Spring is starting to Spring in your area of Blogville and you get to get outside and enjoy some nature this weekend!!
