Adventure Walks

There is nowhere I'd rather be
than on a walk with my Daddy.
He let's me sniff everything,
even cow patties!
Things take on a exciting spin
when it's an adventure walk just me and him.
Even if Mama's there, I'm usually happy
She's stays in the background, photo snapping.
On these special walks, I take the lead,
Darting hear and there smelling where all creatures have pee-ed
I'm always sniffing for lizards and bunnies,
The pawrents laugh, they think it's funny.
Then I flush out a lizard, he's just out of reach,
If only Daddy wasn't on the other side of my leash!

You sound just like Fergus - and when I did let him off the leash one rainy day he smelled a rabbit and his focus narrowed to a pinhole. He ran so fast and heard nothing....

ReplyDeletewild clapping, standing ovation! love this so much, its true here to except it's mama on the leash and thus not many photo snaps. we saw a really big bunny on our walk last week
ReplyDeleteWe love how you have a special relationship with your dad, that is super cool. Our mom is our only human, but she is pretty good to us and we can't complain too much.

Rosy, that's wonderful! Although I promise you don't want to catch a lizard, it can make you very sick if you eat it.
