Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week, we are back at the Sasebo Japanese Garden to see what is blooming in May. I am thinking a BUNCH is blooming because we have blooms here, and even MORE blooms in the video Mama put together at the end of the post!
Let's get started, we have so much beauty and so little time!

The waterfall is surrounded by greenery, no more bare branches here!

As you walk int the gardens, you are greeted by beautiful White Kousa Dogwood blooms.

The peonies are plentiful, of course Mama and I like these pink and white blooms the most.

The trail throughout the garden is just about totally shaded.

A few humungous Japanese Doublefile Viburnum bushes are in full bloom.

It's amazing how happy flowers can be. Mama is always in a great mood after visiting the
Botanic Gardens!

Japanese Pagodas can be found in many corners so the gardens.

Sun streams in between the trees letting these wild irises to bloom.

Even the wild columbines found there way to the garden. To be fair, these can be found in most corners of the Botanical Gardens.

Mama even found a beautiful pink rose that I'm sending to Phenny, Nellie and all our friends!!
If these aren't enough blooms for you, here is a video Mama put together of her walk through the garden:

ReplyDeleteSo so very beautiful. And I hope I'll be fur-given for joining the hop today ... it is "natural" for me to be on my polka dot pillow. That's about as close to nature as I can ever get ...

ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "All those flowers are so pretty! Thanks for sharing them with us, ladies!"
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Our Dada says whenever he sees those little Japanese pagodas it makes him think of some of the video games he used to like to play. But apparently those usually involved scary monsters or ghosts instead of flowers."
Java Bean: "Humans like strange things sometimes ..."
