The weather for our stay in Minnesota was perfect, especially for us New Mexicans. The first few days were all about clear skies and warm temperatures. Those days we were lucky enough to rent a pontoon boat and truly enjoy the Lake Life. I put together a couple of short videos with highlights of our boat adventures.
I tagged along on a morning cruise with my sisters in law and nieces(along with my youngest nephew). Many laughs were had, birds noticed and, most importantly, relaxation achieved!
There really is no time like family time.
The above is a montage of our two sunset cruises. More giggles, reminiscing and catching up while enjoying the sights and sounds of the lake. The first day we were out on the boat, the smoke from the wildfires in Canada was pretty prevalent. You can see that from the beautiful sunsets in the video. It's funny how nature can make the most of a bad situation.

A boat ride on a warm Summer day cures most ills!
Join me tomorrow when I take a look at our Minnesota VRBO backyard wildlife.
I have to say, Lake Life made me pretty darn happy!

ReplyDelete...sigh.... blissful! YAM xx
So very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGrowing up Mom was "up at the lake" a lot as her grandparents lived in Brainerd and an aunt and uncle lived in Grand Rapids. Lots of time was spent on boats, water skiing, swimming and in the winter ice skating. It is fun and special when you are not there all the time. We don't like the smoke but sometimes it does do interesting and pretty things.
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Tuesday to all.

What a beautiful and peaceful place for a vacation.
ReplyDeleteWe agree about boats and curing all ills. We don't boat anymore, but we enjoy over 20 years out on the water.
