Today, we have a little Balloon Parade for your viewing pleasure. Of course, nothing starts off a festive parade like a cute little Sunny Clown.
We had two fun days of distant balloon parades. We could see the balloons as they sailed by, bouncing on the wind currents. Unfortunately, most never flew too close to the house.
Today, we have the first of the parades. Although far away, we got a nice peek at the "Dawn Patrol" as they passed in the distance!
It always gives me a little thrill to see them no matter how far away they are flying.

Some balloons did get a little closer....
Most days during the Fiesta started with morning clouds and crazy wind layers which moved the balloons in different ways depending on where they were in the wind column(how high or low they were). The same is true when you are diving underwater, the currents on top of the ocean may be going a totally different direction then the currents at the depth you are diving.
Things that make me go hmmmmm, right? LOL

Your clown outfits are absolutely adorable. Mom likes all those balloons. She did enjoy seeing some of them close up when she lived in Germany but here we never really see any.

PS in the beginning of the video I see flickers of light is that the fire or do they have lights when it is dark?
ReplyDeleteHiC! At the beginning, the flickering lights are lights they have attached to their baskets. When the whole balloon "lights up" that is the "candle" heating the gas so the balloon rises.
