Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. Rosy here today here with Flossy the flamingo to show you some fun flamingos Mama met on a trip she took to the ABQ Zoo last week.
As you might imagine, Mama is quite fond of Flamingos and spent awhile just standing and watching their cute antics.
Their pretty orangey pink feathers are beautiful, don't you think?
The "Flamingo Keeper" who pointed out this little cutie to Mama! She was born at the ABQ Zoo about 2 months ago!
Pretty cool, right?? Although she isn't pink yet, once she starts eating more she will gradually get pinker and orangier!
Did you know a group of flamingos is called a "Flamboyance"?

Being fans of bright colors, we love the bright orange and pink of the flamingos.

ReplyDeletethe Denver zoo had a terrific group of them and I'd stand there for a long time just watching them interact. I ALSO love the flamingo costume for your pups. If we ever find a little dog to live here, I'll be asking where you got them!

the two of you fit flamboyant due to da mama dressing you up like a flamingo and this mama loves flamingos also. we live 10 miles from them and they can be handfed, they even have food to buy to feed them and they eat out of your hands
ReplyDeleteYou two look so vibrant and pretty with all your flamingo gear, not flamboyant at all. And the color of the flamingos at the zoo is so beautiful. Mom found it so interesting that that baby will one day turn the pretty pinky orange color too.
