Today I am thankful for productive conversations.
Last week we were hanging out in ArCee while Mama got some "RV Stuff" done. I was sitting on the big bed, keeping an eye on my backyard, when I had a visitor. A Gambel's Quail hopped up on the fence to talk!

We had a nice conversation at first, commenting on the nice weather and other small talk. Then, things went south when he tried to tell me it was nice that I could visit HIS backyard!
The discussion may have gotten a bit heated as I let him know it was MY backyard.....
He even tried calling for back up!
Listen for yourself:
Of course, Sunny added her two cents too!

...in MY backyard!

webet that was a quaility talk you two had ;O)
ReplyDeleteHe's a handsome dude but he needs to know that it's YOUR backyard and not his!

ReplyDeleteMinor disagreements between neighbours is pretty normal - as long as you can keep the conversation going and respectful, all will be well! Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx
What an arrogant bird that was! We don't care about birds at all, just rabbits and sometimes squirrels. Mom actually put bird feeders out with squirrel food to attract squirrels for us to chase around a few years ago. We make sure all creatures know they can visit but we are in charge of our yard too.
ReplyDeleteLovely bird :-D Good to have friends to talk to :-D Though make sure he knows it is yours :-D
ReplyDeleteYou sure had a lot to say to that bird. BOL!
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "BIRD!!! With a funny hairdo!"

ReplyDeleteWell, there WERE two of you and only one of him, so we can see why he called for backup. As long as a large flock of blackbirds didn't appear... XOX Xena
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you let them know it was YOUR backyard. We always enjoyed seeing the quail at my Dad's house. They are pretty cute.
