Smoky Skies on Nature Friday

 

Thanks for stopping by this week for Nature Friday!

This week I, Rosy, and here to show you a different side of nature. Here in our part of Blogville sometimes nature can be "not so nice". The wildfires in the area are a good example of this.  Most of the wildfires in our area were caused by natural causes and, like Arty mentioned a couple of weeks ago, they bring a bunch of smoke. Last week brought a good example, so I asked Mama to take som pictures so we could share what it looks like.

 

 

 Mama says it's like the smoke is acting like an orange-y pink filter on the world!

 

 

 The mornings, when the sun was trying to burn through the smoke and fog, were pretty spooky 

 

In the bottom right hand corner of this shot, you can see some blue sky just our of reach!

 

 

 

 

Needless to say, the air quality was yucky...and we didn't get any long walks all week!

 

 

 

We could smell the smoke in the air too.....

We are sending lots of POTP to all those effected by the wildfires including all the animals whose natural homes have been destroyed.
