That's a nice garden spider! Looks like she's caught a bee or a wasp! We never kill spiders when they get in the house. We catch them and put them outside, or else just leave them alone. I must say, I've occasionally eaten a few in my career as a doggie.
Dory's a brave girl. Mom is afraid of spiders though if she finds one in the house that's not a wolf spider or a recluse, she'll round it up carefully and put it out in the garden.
