Travel Tuesday - Oregon or Bust!

Jakey here today to tell you about the first leg of our Mini BAR experience!

"The cooler is full of our food and treats, right Jakey?"
It all started with Mama and Daddy packing us in the car like sardines the car up. They made sure to bring everything they thought we would need along with the kitchen sink.
Then we hit the road for Grants Pass, OR!!

We stopped halfway to stretch our legs at the historical Randolph Collier Tunnel!

While Daddy was going potty Mama decided a short photo session would be fun...Since she forgot the treats, we got to have most of the fun BOL!

Unfortunately, there were(and still are) a bunch of forest fires in Northy North California and all over Oregon. So the skies are pretty smoky. This meant we went for a short walkie then all hopped back in the car and hit the road again!

 We drove a bit longer...

Sometimes car travel can be pretty boring....

...but we finally got to our room!
They must have known Mayor Arty was coming, the nice lady at the desk upgraded us to the Victorian Suite!! It had a fancy four poster bed...and some coolio pieces of Victorian type art!

 We ate some dinner....

...and took another little walkie around the hotel before it got dark.

Arty decided we should head to bed so we could hit the road bright and early!

We woke up to a beautiful morning, Mama and Daddy packed up the Sardine Can car.

Arty was a little upset to be leaving our great big hotel room and being squeezed into his itty bitty space in the car.

But I was SOOOOOO excited to be on the road to pick up....

OUR WEEKEND WHEELIE HOUSE!!

Now...just one more short drive until I get to meet these two Doodz!!
Make sure to stop by next Tuesday to see what happens next!!

Make sure to join Blogville next Tuesday to let us know how you spent your Summer vacation(or how you WOULD have spent it if your peeps would have let you)!

  1. oh what a super cool tour... I love the hotel suite... the bed looked super comfy!!! guess what? we saw a documentation a couple of days ago about the father of all freeways and how they built the tunnels many moons ago... but to see the tunnel on your blog makes it much more real than to watch it just in tv ;o)))

  14. We bet that the packed like sardines ride was well worth it once you met the Doods and others. Wish we could have gone too. We have some smoky skies here too, all the way in the middle of the country. Those fires are so scary. We hope they burn out soon and do no more harm.

  16. What a fun road trip! I've met those boys and are they the best or what; but I'm sure I'd say the same thing about you!
We have tons of smoke here from the fires in Montana. I hope that the smoke in Oregon doesn't bother you too.
    Have fun.
