Halloween Memories Monday

Thanks to everyone for all of their posts and comments for the No Tricks Just Treats for Shelters weekend!  We are leaving the comments open until Tuesday(Halloween) night at 11:59pm PST so make sure to stop by and leave a comment if you haven't already! We'll have a final tally later this week on Thankful Thursday!
Rosy here, I can't believe tomorrow is Halloween! I wasn't quite sure what to expect for my first Halloween. Arty and Jakey warned me Mama can get pretty crazy around this time of year, and I had gotten off pretty darn easy.  I thought I had been pretty tortured until I looked back through the
Magic Bloggy Wayback Machine.....

Then I saw what happened the very first year Mama started blogging. She dressed my most beautiful Angel Sissy Dory as A SQUIRREL!!! If you haven't read about this, you can read about it HERE.

The next year, Jakey got HIS turn as a squirrel!! Thank goodness Mama left the squirrel costume in Texas!!

Arty's first Halloween, he was a Piggy!!
*snicker*

My most beautiful Angel Sissy Dory made such a pretty witch, don't you think?!

Arty made a great Little Devil!

Even my handsome Angel brother Bilbo could get into the Halloween spirit!

Jakey told me all about the fun times he and Bilbo had at Blogville Halloween Parties!

I guess I am pretty lucky not to be a tree rat...but silly Mama still needs to find a new hobby!

What do you think about dressing up for Halloween??

  3. Hmm. I'd have to say I much prefer looking at other dogs wearing costumes to getting dressed up myself... Oh but didn't Dory make a pretty witch! What a lovely memory.

  4. We love taking trips down Memory Lane. What wonderful costumes!
I've never had a whole costume on before. Just a hat and bandana and that's enough for me!

  5. Our first year in the US, I was a hotdog and Katie was a pumpkin. We were not real thrilled about the entire thing. Now we don't mind dressing up at all. You will see our costume reveal tomorrow!

Rosy, I think that you are settling in rather well to the slightly eccentric furever home with Arty and Jakey and the angels!!! Suspect there are many years of dressups ahead of you, so might as well accept it fully now... jus' sayin'... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  9. Angel Dory was for certain the very good and beautiful witch of the West.
The piggy and squirrels costumes are so funny.
I, Madi(son) D Cat am going to be one of the Pink Ladies from Grease. I wanted a kitty on my skirt not a poodle, but mom said it had to be authentic so a poodle it is

  11. I loved seeing all of you and your angel sister and brother dressed for Halloweens past as well as present. The squirrel - what a cruel joke! And yes, Angel Dory was the most beautiful princess ever, and I am sure still is one at the rainbow bridge. None of mine are dressing for Halloween this year. I've got my hands too full just keeping up with the littlest one. :)

And did you know when Momma and I dress up on Howl-o-ween night and sit out in front of our house, ALL the kids in the neighborhood come by just to see me!!! How could I not love a night like that??

  19. The squirrel costume is a classic but Pierre would lose his mind and his reputation with the tree rats if he were to be a Halloween squirrel! I love Dory's witch and you are adorable as a pirate. All the costumes are spooktacular!

  21. Your mama is a very creative person when it comes to your costumes! Tree rat?!? I feel for all the dogs who had to wear that one ;)

Shyla is just too sensitive and fearful to be dressed up or even to see people in costumes. One year, I forgot that it was Halloween, and I took her to town in the late afternoon. We got stuck hidden on a side street waiting until we could find a break in the costumes to make a mad dash to the car. Having a dog like her has taught me TONS! I love her, and I'm glad to learn from her.

Happy Halloween! We should be around more again because we are back from the internetless desert.
