San Diego's Balboa Park on Travel Tuesday

Thanks for joining me as I continue to fill you in on my Birthday Road Trip last month!  Today, I'm going to tell you about my visit San Diego's Dog Friendly, Balboa Park!

Balboa Park was has so much for both peeps and pups!
Leashed doggos are welcome on almost all the grounds(with the exception of the Japanese Garden).  We didn't visit them, but they also have two different leash free dog parks to run around!

Mama and I had a great time walking around and exploring!

Mama especially enjoyed all the wonderful Spanish type architecture like the California Tower and Dome behind me in this picture!

The California Tower was built in 1915 for the Panama California Expo(celebrating the opening of the Panama Canal).

They now house the

Over there is Mama's second favorite building,

The Casa Del Prado Theater. It was built at the same time as the California Tower, it has both a theater and the offices for the botanical gardens.

After looking at the buildings...
...BARK! BARK! BARK!...
Oh sorry, just saying hello to those pups!

After looking at the main architecture, Mama and I took a walk through some garden areas. Balboa Park is full of different gardens, you can read about all of them HERE.

We had fun with the fountains in the Alcazar Garden

The fountain look so very pretty nestled on the hedges!

We also saw some pretty Jacaranda trees. Mama really enjoyed the little purple flowers!

On the way back to the car we saw this beautimous water lily in the Lily Pond in front of the Botanical Building!

We had a great morning at Balboa Park, and would recommend it to any pup visiting the San Diego area!

We are joining our friends at  Comedy Plus for the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop this week!
