Today I am very thankful I got to meet my new best furiend Declan while visiting Carmel! Declan's Mama (owner of Sand Dollar Dog Company) and Mama are furiends.
You may remember that Rosy kissed Declan back in March. She told me what a nice guy he is and I was looking forward to meeting him!
I knew as soon as I saw him we were going to be best furiends! After his kiss with Rosy, we are practically related, right??
After we met, we spent a few minutes to sniff butts get to know each other and then we went for a walk!
Dec showed me the doggy sights of Carmel and then we stopped at the Cypress Inn! The Cypress Inn is one of the most famous dog-friendly hotels/restaurants in Carmel plus, it was co-owned by Doris Day! Doris Day was well known for her love for animals, and her dedication to animal rights.
Miss Day passed away the week before we visited and Dec showed me the flowers citizens of Carmel left as a Memorial to Miss Doris. There were all kinds of flowers, especially daisies. It seems Doris Day was in a movie with a very handsome doggy called Please Don't Eat the Daisies.
Mama smiled when she saw all of the posters in the lobby from movies she used to watch when she was a little girl...
While our Mamas had a glass of wine in the courtyard of Cypress Inn and talked, I filled Dec in on everything I had done so far on vacation. He is such a good listener! I also told him about the trials of having Rosy as a little sister. He said he could relate because he has a little brother Quinn that is even younger than Rosy(but a bunch bigger!).
This week I am ever so thankful I got to meet and hang out with Dec. I can't wait to visit Carmel and see him again!!
Mama took a short video of Dec and I on our walk so you could see what good friends we are!

Declan looks like a wonderful new friend to hang out with!! We think your peep had a bit of trouble keeping up with the pair of you...you had to keep draggin' her along. Of course that could have been because of the flashy beastie.
