Here we are, the second Friday in May already and flower season is in high gear here in Northy North California! We had a beautiful walk around the neighborhood, just look at all the beautious flowers we saw!!

Nothing prettier than decorative cherry blossoms against a blue, blue sky!

Beautiful climbing Hydrangea in our neighbors yard...

 Pretty pink vine-y flower

Mama may have made that name up...
There are so many bright colors blooming right now!

Pretty yellow Irises from around the corner...

These pretty bright red, brown and yellow flowers

and this pretty orange daisy flower!

Not to mention more pink rhodies blooming in our backyard!

Mama's favorite little pink bushy flowers!!

Hope you find some sunshine and flowers this weekend!!

  4. Great flowers. Flowers are still not really out here, and we are having frost warnings for the next couple days. It won't be long and the flowers will pop.

Bright and beautifuls!!! Arty - your 'orange daisy' is an English Marigold, and the pink one at the end is Leptospermum, aka Tea Tree. The reddy-brown and the 'viney' ones are unfamiliar to me (yes, true!). Doesn't make them less pretty for not knowing them!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
(who's contribution this week is the opposite to colourful. Sorry about that.)

  6. Arty that 2nd photo took my breath away...no worries though...it was only a second so I'm breathing now. Pretty pink vine-y thing sounds good to me.
All our purrsonal blooming things in our yard bloomed in late March and April. I did take my camera with me on a recent walkie in the 'hood. I will have flowers next week
Oh and before I go....your handsome face also took my breath away.

  15. Our Mom is relieved that your Mama doesn't know the names of all the flowers. She says she usually feels stupid cause she knows so little about flowers, and only like 4 or 5 by name. Just so she knows our names, especially at food time! XOX Xena and Lucy
