Thankful Thursday - Observations

We are very thankful to have a full hunting animal observation schedule here in our backyard! Mornings we chase observe bunnies, in the evenings we try and eat observe the local froggies and the afternoons are spent trying to catch observing lizards!!

By we...I mean mostly me(Rosy) although sometimes Sunny will assist.

This is one of my favorite lizard stomping observation areas. The lizards like to hide under the fake rock that hides some kind of sprinkler controls.  I like to check on them by pawing at the rock then,  they shoot out and I chase them! You know, so I can observe them closer...

Come out little lizard, and say hi to my bloggy friends...

 Mr.  Lizzz.....

ZOOOOOM!!!!!

Unfortunately, lizards are wicked fast. I have yet to catch observe them close up before they scamper up to the top of the fence to sunbathe.

No Mama, seeing a picture of him close up is
 NOT the same......

I am thankful that lizards seem to be very plentiful and everyday brings new observation opportunities!

Thank you Brian for hosting the
Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  7. Our Angel Little Bit loved to hunt the lizards too. She never caught any either. Such fun she had. Hubby had one last year that would wait for him to find a bug while he was weeding and feed the bug to him. We love our lizards.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥

  9. That's one cute, well fed lizard. He must be 'observing' bugs closely. ;)

  10. You THINK they're plentiful, Rosy, until a snake moves in and eats them all. That happened to me, er, my lizards last year. XOX Xena

  11. How fun to have lizards to "observe" in your yard. We hope you get that up close inspection opportunity soon. BOL!

  12. We are not allowed to even look at frogs or lizards because Mom is terrified of them and if we ever touch one, she says she will never touch us again. She is very extreme about her fears so we leave them alone. Thankfully we have never seen any in our yard. You all have fun with yours, though.

  13. We loved seeing the lizard! Our Florida associate, Miss Charlee, says there are always lizards around in her yard. But, yes, they are super fast and very difficult to get a picture of. Have fun with your continued nature "observations!"

  14. What would you do if you caught one? Keep it as a pet?
