Wings on Wednesday

 Labor Day is right around the corner which means the hummingbirds will slowly start heading south over the next month or so...


We're going to miss their buzzy wings on the back porch....

    We will miss your beautiful humming birds almost as much as you do. Isn't it interesting how they hover and then move forward in little jerks. Not having the opportunity to see hummers in the UK, we had no idea they did that!

    We have hummingbirds here too and their idea of south may be your house. I think we will post your address so they can stop by for a meal or two.

    I love hummers and am (hopelessly) devoted to their service. I will continue to put out fresh sugar water thru mid October so any stragglers will have a rest stop in NC

    We still have our hummers here too, but they will be leaving soon. You are so lucky to have so many different kinds that visit your feeders.

    We have then year around now. We have six large feeders and can hardly keep up with their demands.
