Thankful Thursday

Daddy and Mama took me out for ice cream because I was such a good girl when we were visiting Grand Lake. Now that in itself is something to be thankful for, but there's more.

Usually I will just get a little bit of Daddy's ice cream but this time, thanks to the friendly ice cream girl, I got a little dish of ice cream 

ALL.TO.MYSELF!

I gave it my best try, but couldn't finish all it all....

but I sure am thankful to the ice cream girl for giving it to me!!

Thankful for Memories

 We are so very thankful for all the memories we made during our Rocky Mountain Adventure. Mama is still going through and organizing all the pictures, but here is a preview of what's to come!

Daddy did a most pawsome job driving CeCe and JeeJee, the Diva Jeep, through the ups and downs and twisty turny mountain roads! 

We spent some time wildlife viewing

...saw pretty flowers...

Took in some GORGEOUS views.

Had lots of relaxing family snuggle time.

The pawrents got to enjoy hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park

We went on lots of family adventures

We saw the first signs of Autumn...

Best of all, we got to  see Daddy 

24/7 for NINE DAYS STRAIGHT!!

We are so very thankful for all the 

different memories we made. 

Over the next few weeks, as Mama gets the pictures ready, we'll have more than a few posts sharing our adventures!

I have often gazed lovingly at the wall in Mama's office showing Rosy, and all our angels.

I am so happy I now have a place on the wall.

 It looks just like me don't you think??

 

They even got my best side!

Mama is in the process of re-arranging all our portraits, until she finishes, here is a virtual representation!

Thankful Thursday - Found Out!

 

An interesting thing happened the other morning while I was doing my morning backyard rounds. As you know by now, Mama likes to spy on birdies. We are thankful for this because the time it takes for her to look through the hundreds of birdy surveillance video clips are hours she isn't dressing us up!

But anyway....there I was, doing my rounds when  saw this....

 

 

Birdy: Hmmmm, what's this?? It looks a bit militant....

ARE WE BEING SPIED UPON???
 

 

Uh Oh...Looks like the jig might be up for Mama's spying....

Birdy: Wait a minute...I think I remember Robby Robin saying they were filming that new reality show, Birds Gone Bad. This is probably just one of their cameras!

Whew, that was a close one!

Mama's gonna be so thankful for the fact that birds are so silly!

June Thankfuls in the Backyard

Happy June!! We have had some gorgeous, bright sunny weather here in New Mexico for the past week and have been having so much fun in our backyard. This made us think....We are thankful for so many things in our backyard, maybe we should spend a few Thursdays showing you all some of them!

Today, we want to say how thankful we are for the backyard fountain! Even after freezing up during the freezy cold temperatures this past Winter, it is back to being a beautiful place for photo shoots

AND....

A birdy water cooler and public pool!

Birdies from far and wide come to get a cool sip of water during the warm dry days.

They especially enjoy...

Mondays and Wednesdays when we throw in a free shower (the sprinklers)!!

Through the magic of Mama's new trail camera, today we have a short movie featuring Henry the House Wren taking a nap

Thankful for Daddy Weekends!

 

Daddy and I had a great trip in CeCe last weekend!!

It was filled with long walks and lots of snuggles.

(and maybe some cheese too!) 

 Mama took this picture right before we left Friday morning. I was a little scared riding in CeCe without Sunny and Jakey but, after a little while, I curled up and took a nap for the short 45 minute ride to the RV park!

 We stayed at a nice place called the Santa Fe Skies RV Park.

 

 

 It was a pretty park, pawfect for long relaxing walkies!

 

 

 Plus...they had BUNNIES!!! I had lots of fun pulling Daddy 

from one camp site to the next trying to catch one!

 

Friday night, Daddy and I "Face Timed" Mama!

It was the first time I ever recognized her on the telephone. I couldn't smell her, which was weird, but it was nice to see her!

 

 

 Mama came to see us on Saturday morning. We went for a nice hike and found a bunch of old machinery. Mama was there, so of course, we had to do a little photo shoot!

 

 

 I wanted to go for a ride in this old truck, but Daddy said the tires were flat and it wouldn't go very far.

 

 

 This truck didn't even have a door handle to get in, so I settled for sitting on the outside floor board. 

 

 

 

 It was such a beautiful day.  I was so happy to have Mama and Daddy to myself for a little while and I was smiling from ear to ear!

After our hike, Mama went back home and I had a much needed nap. I'm glad I did because that night it started raining. It gets very loud in CeCe when it rains, so I ended up not getting much sleep.  Daddy and I decided to head home a little early on Sunday because it was still raining. We were both getting pretty soggy on our walkies, plus we missed Mama, Jakey and Sunny.

 

 

 

Even though we had to leave early, we had a great time.

 I am so very thankful I got to spend some quality time with Daddy and go for a trip in CeCe before she hibernates for the Winter!

Thankful Thursday - Daddy Time

 

Our Mamager isn't home right now, she went to meet her BFF in someplace called Tennessee for a long Girl's Weekend.

We are thankful to be home with Daddy enjoying some playtime, outside time and snack time. We don't have to worry  what time we get up or go to what time we go to bed.

Plus, we can eat whenever we want to, it's AWESOME!

 

 

 

I'm sorry, we can't let you come in right now...

We also don't have to worry about cleaning the house until Sunday!!

(Pee Ess, Mamager says I may be embellishing a bit. She knows for a fact that Daddy takes great care of us!)
