My New Ramp

There was some kind of racket going on in the ByeBye Machine house last weekend, and then again early in the week. I thought maybe Daddy was being held prisoner cause he wasn't playing with me as much as he should have.

Mama said he was ok. He was just playing with his loud toys. She said that I should be PATIENT because he was making a surprise for me and Bilbo. It took a VERY LONG TIME (ok...so maybe 2 or 3 sleeps) but look what he made for me and Bilbo!!!

It is our very own ramp up to the family bed!!!! Oh yes, Bilbo and I let Mama and Daddy sleep on the big bed with us....as long as they do not take up much room or snore too loudly.
Anyway, we used to have step (from Mama: an upside down laundry basket covered with a blanket) for us to hop up on the bed, but  Bilbo's back isn't so good so Daddy, being his wonderful Daddy self, made us this very cool ramp so we could just walk on up!!

Here I am being just a LITTLE scared to climb up. The squirrel can do it, so I think I can too....so I say the little red choo choo mantra

"I think I can, I think I can"

and I just climbed on up, grabbing the squirrel on the way!!

Come On Bilbo!!! Bilbo?? Where did you go???

Mama says Bilbo is still getting the hang of it. 

From the Mama:As you might know, our little Boney Man is not much for change and he is also NOT treat or toy motivated, making it hard to "train" him.  We are sure that he will get the hang of it after he realizes that it is either that or sleeping on the floor.

I am going to take a nap while Mama teaches Bilbo about ramp climbing.

Thankful for Thursday

We had another wonderful week here in Texas! Full of wonderful flowers, a fun and blessed Easter and so much more that we are thankful for!!

First we received this totally rockin' award from Teddy:

The rules say that I have to say seven beautiful things about myself, hmmmmmmm let's see...

1. I have naturally curly/wavy hair....that is strange for a Lhasa...Mama thinks maybe I have a little poodle in me.

2. I love to climb up on Mama and give her morning snuggles. She likes this MOST of the time, but sometimes wishes I would wait until she was awake first.

3. I love to protect the birdie food in my backyard from squirrels

4. I like to take Mama for long walks in the park (hint, hint Mama)

5. I like to play tug with my Daddy

6. I like to give lots of kisses

7. I have mastered walking up the fun ramp that Daddy made for me and Bilbo!

Daddy came in all huffy last Monday. Seems like Bilbo and ME got the only mail of the day!

Monday Walkies!

Mama and me took a great Monday morning walkie. We saw LOTS of flowers and I read LOTS of peemails! Here is a video so you can see all the pretty wildflowers we have around here right now.

There were cloudy skies but just a little drizzle.

We went to the park near our house to see some flowers. Mama couldn't capture any pictures from the flippy thing, but here are some pictures she took the other day that she didn't TAKE ME TO.

My New Friend Xena

One day last week while I was doing my backyard security rounds I met a NEW FURIEND!!

Her name is Xena, well...that is what she told me her name was...Xena, the Great Kitty Bird Hunter Princess.

She says she likes hunting birdies, and my backyard was like a birdie buffet

"GASP!!!"

But birdies are not for eating Miss Xena, they are for watching and feeding and protecting.

Oh No Miss Dory, Kitties like to hunt birds and bring them in to present to our hoomans as proof of our greatness.

Oh Miss Xena, how will we ever be friends?? I am sworn to protect the birdies in my backyard.

Miss Dory, you are a great birdie protector and I mayhaps I shall just WATCH the birdies from the comfort of my fence, and your yard shall be a safe haven for all birdies.

Today Bilbo has already done ALL of his 5 things today. I have played in my backyard and chased squirrels. Maybe I can talk Mama into taking me for a walk later!
