Flower Friday - More Wildflowers

Hi efurryone!!
Welcome to another Flower Friday!!! This week we are going bye bye to take a look at a few more wild flowers in the area. Since Mama is still learning, please feel free to tell her the correct name of the flower (you might want to click your clicker when she says it...we are trying to train her to remember the names BOL)

Mama say this is most likely Beach Pea or Everlasting Pea

We are not sure if this is Queen Anne's Lace....
or it could the Evil and Poisonous
Hemlock Wildflower.....Thank goodness we aren't much interested in flowers because some of them (including this one) are VERY poisonous!!!

Mama thinks this may be some kind of Rockcress...it is EVERYWHERE up here!!

Last but not least, these yellow flower bushes are all along the rivers and the coast....
Mama is guessing some kind of Gorse...or Mustard bush....

Thanks for joining us for Flower Friday!
Qlthough we hear it is still snowing in the Rockies and in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we hope your flowers are in full bloom!!

  6. We don't know the names of any of those flowers, but we do know that the Momster always checks before she puts any in our yard because a couple of us are known to like to munch and crunch.

Thanks for sharing your flower tour today, Dory.

  14. Hi Y'all,

My Human hasn't seen Queen Ann's Lace since she was a child. She did say that the hemlock has dark streaks on the stem while lace has a hairy green stem and the lace flower has a reddish center. Her grandmother told her the red in the center was from Queen Ann pricking her finger while making the lace and it is a drop of blood from her finger. For the most part my Human doesn't worry about identifying the wild flowers...she just likes to enjoy them and photograph them. YOur photos are beautiful!

    Y'all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog
