Travel Tuesday

Jakey here today to tell you about our first full day at Dash Point State Park!

Arty and I woke up to this beautiful view of the woods!

Needless to say we had Mama take us out to do some exploring!

We saw LOTS of bunnies!!

We posed on a few tree stumps...

...and even saw a duck!!!

While we were walking around the campground we saw this cool map of all the trails!
Arty and I decided a nice hike to the beach was in order!

We stopped by the wheelie house to pick up Daddy and we hit the trail!

Along our hike we walked on some pretty bridges over some fast moving streams!

We were amazed over how green everything is so close ocean. It's even more green than our corner of the world!!

We walked next to the Thames Creek...

We even saw some tiny pine cones!

We also saw this old tree stump from back when they used to do logging in the area!

Just when we thought we were never going to get there, we went under this big bridge...

...and were at Arty's happy place:
The Puget Sound Beach!!

It was very serene and beautiful...

You can see Mount Walker in the background!

Isn't the water calm?!?!

It was so very pretty  with the trees right next to the water!

Here is a pretty view of the coastline

We saw this happy trio of Viszlas

I thought the one in the middle might be Dennis the Viszla, but Arty had a point, usually Dennis travels with Kitties, Smurfs and other fun friends..

Before we knew it it was time to head back to the wheelie house!

Hey Daddy, wait for Mama!!!

Join us next week for our last day and a wrap up of our
trip!!

  13. Wow that looks like a totally wonderful place to explore. We love following your adventures on Travel Tuesday.
But Gail is upset. She says she has visited Tacoma three time to see her friend Marse, and they have been to several state parks in the region, but NEVER to Dash Point. She is going to insist on being taken there when she goes to see Marse again this September!

  15. What a wonderful hike through all the greenery and then the ocean - just beautiful, boys. We wonder if those could be some of Dennis's long lost brothers. Thanks for sharing more of your travels. We will probably never get to see the ocean, so we love being there virtually with you.

  16. The Pacific Northwest is one of the most beautiful places that we've visited. We are flying up there next week to move our son and his family back down south. Our daughter is still living there though so we can continue to visit. ☺
