Holiday Tradition Griswald Stye!

Arty here today to let tell you all about Daddy's little problem one of our Howliday traditions!
Decorating Outside!

It's hard to pinpoint how far back Daddy has had this problem we have been putting up lots of outside decorations....

OMD...you mean he does this EVERY YEAR, Arty??

That's right Rosy, Daddy has been going all out since even before I was part of the pack! Here is a picture from back in the olden days of our house during the Howlidays when we lived in Texas !

...and here are a couple of pictures from our house in Northy North California!

Let's take a look at what Daddy did this year!
So many lights, so little time!

Bows on the fence...nice touch, Dad!

Looks like we have a new addition to our
big outside stuffy collection!

That's right Arty, Daddy brought home Mr. Polar Bear to join Frosty!!

 ...and TA DA!!!
Here is our yard this year!!

It's even extra shiny thanks to some artsy rain!

Thanks for letting us tell you a bit about our Holiday Tradition, we can't wait to read about yours!!

Do you and your family have something special you do every Howliday season?? Maybe you bake cookies,  visit a Christmas Village or go on a walk to see Howliday lights??

  2. I only decorate inside. My landlord did a bit of decorating outside as well, but nowhere near as pretty as yours are. Even with the artsy rain!

Not something we see too much of here in the Bonny Land. The outside decs tend to be left to the local councils! That said, in the cities there are a few folk now getting into Griswaldism... I like the polar bear! hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  6. We love the holiday lights around this time of year. On our evening walks we get to tour different neighborhoods to have a look! Enjoy! Mom can't do them herself, so maybe one year she will hire someone to light up our house.

  7. We used to giggle a bit about the Griswaldy homes we'd see ... but now we drive all over the neighborhoods just looking for and hoping to find one or more! Why? They are the most fun, the most charming and bring the most joy and imagination! Wish we could drive by yours! Good Job, Daddy DB!

  13. Maybe your Daddy should apply for The Great Christmas Light Fight show. We love the trumpeting angel by the door. Something about all white lights attracts us. We like the purity and simplicity.

  17. Wow! That's a lot of decorating! My Dad doesn't do that much decorating any more. This year he bought one of those laser light projector thingies instead of hanging strings of lights on the house and bushes. But that's OK with me.

Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

  21. I think there is a particular breed of man who loves to decorate the outside of the house and yard with zillions of lights. Your dad did a great job, Arty. The dad here says no way Jose! Which is ok for both me and the light bill!

  22. We applaud your Dad for his beautiful holiday decorations!!! Mom is in love with your angel - she needs to find one just like it. We put white lights on our trees out front. Mom used to do the big boulevard trees, but she says she is getting too old. It is really hard to get them down in January when it is cold and icy. Our development had sleigh rides through the neighborhood this week - Mom and Dad really loved seeing all the beautifully decorated houses in our neighborhood.

It took all day but we finally got our traditions post up too:)

  26. We absolutely love it, every single house, and we wish our Daddy had this problem! We can barely get him to put up any lights at all, and there's usually lots of cursing when he even does our few! :)
