Mischief Monday - Nice or Naughty?

Rosy here today to tell you about an "incident" that occured last week. Now...Mama says I was the naughty one....and I say I was uninformed and SHE was the naughty one!!

It all started after some early morning excavating. I don't know about you, but I always assume if I am outside digging working on my excavation unattended, I have Mama's blessing to dig to China.

Well, it seems Mama does not agree
It also seems that doing zoomies around the living room after your morning excavation
is also misinterpreted as "NAUGHTY BEHAVIOR" and may be frowned upon by Santa Paws...

I ask you, what else is a girl to do to get the muddies off of her paws???  I am being unjustly accused I tell you...

...and guess what the mean old Mama did??

SHE GAVE ME A BATH!!!!
Now, I ask you...
Who do YOU think was the naughty one???

  1. Rosy, your Mama was definitely the naughty one! And I might point out (as the dog who gets his paws washed almost every day these days) that total immersion is total overkill and dipping just the feet and ankles in warm water, perhaps with a bit of shampoo, should be sufficient to avoid the dreaded mud on carpet issue.
    Toodle pip!

  3. We all agree with you Rosy: your Mum should have been clear and supervising. We think even Santa will agree here!

  4. Wait - isn't that what carpeting is for? Bummer about the bath, Rosy.

  5. Oh dear! Humans do not like dirt on their carpeting. You need to learn to count, and BATH has four letters...many words like BATH are very bad words. Try to avoid them when you can. Hope you are dry and fluffed and got a good nap after that nightmare!

Good grief Rosy, the mama went into overkill methinks! Bertie has it - a paw dip would have been quite sufficient... mind you, it is not clear to us that your furs weren't also involved. After all, China is very deep... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  7. MOL MOL MOL...we all KNOW who was naughty.. so does the ELF... tell your mom, she should have 3 dogs all 50 pounds each with giant paws running around on the carpet. the prints were MUCH bigger.

  8. What? Are we supposed to check our paws every time we walk in the door? That's the Mama's job, so she WAS the naughty one. ~Your friend, Xena
Pee S. I got a bath yesterday too after Lucy rolled me around in the dry, dusty dirt in the dog lot for a while.

  9. Rosy SassyPants...here at Manor Madi...rugs are for wiping one's feet on too but it appears
(in Dad's case) he sometimes misses properly wiping his feets on the RIGHT rug. RIGHT being the operative word. I mean who knew there was a wrong and a RIGHT rug? Rug is a Rug
Sweet friend the rules need to be laid out in a precise fashion obviously that didn't happen.
I hope and purr the bath you were forced to take included a massage.
    Hugs madi your bfff

  10. You were framed Rosy! It's the pawrents responsibility to check for dirty paws before letting you in the house. We can't believe you had to endure a bath too!

  11. Oh jo Rosy, a bath? With real water? The Mom will be n the naughty list, not you!

  12. Oops! Well at least the mama didn't steal your furs on top of the bath.

  13. When that happens here, we try to convince Mom that her plain white carpet needs some artsy shading - isn't that what you were doing, Rosy?

  14. I see nothing wrong with muddy feet. I get them all the time! (I think that's why we don't have any carpets in our house.) Oh, and you can send that shelf elf to me if he's getting on your nerves. It's about time for me to post my free shelf elf shredding service.

  15. Sheesh, it's so easy to get on the naughty list at this time of year. We think you made a lovely pattern on the carpet.

  16. Oh Rosy, we definitely agree that it is mama who is naughty in this case!

  17. A bath! Oh NOSE! Adding dirt to the floor helps the humans increase their resistance to various bacterias and bugs, that's what I tell Mom.

  18. A bath is an ultimate revenge. We say if your mom did not give you a place to clean your paws before you came in the house then you are not to blame. You can't get the towels and rags yourself. We say innocent. The defense rests.

  19. It’s part of growing up Rosy, learning those hard lessons. There will probably be more. Mom is always right.

  20. I don't knows gurl, I thinks the bath was TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR!!!! WTD??! You already had your paws all cleaned off on the carpet! geesh. NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE! I'll protest with you Rosy!

  21. Excavating, and then cleaning your paws all by yourself? And then getting a bath? Well, no one is naughty here...you are just being a dog, and getting a bath is something that happens. There's nothing wrong with any of that. :)
