Happy February Flower Friday!
Spring is starting to Spring here on the Northy North California Coast. With heavy rains at the end of January and un-seasonly warm temps here at the beginning of February, the flowers are starting to pop up everywhere!
The Crocuses are croaking!
Look at this pretty purple one we saw along our walk last week!
The trees are starting to bloom too!
We are all loving all the blue sky we have been seeing for the past week or so. Plus, the white blooms looks so very pretty against the blue sky!
Even the weeds are blooming!
All the Spring yellows are blooming. Local country roads are lined with blankets of yellow!
We can almost feel Spring in the air!!
Do you have any flowers blooming where you are yet??

ReplyDeleteEverything here is still frozen and buried under a lot of snow. We hope it stays this way for a few more weeks at least. In April, the plants will start coming back to life. It looks very springy in your part of the world.

ReplyDeleteOMD you are so much further ahead of us in the season! We just had another big snowfall - followed by stinging-ly bright sunshine. Silly climate. I shall keep my eyes peeled for some bulbs! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
The crocus are such tough but beautiful flowers they sometimes push up through the melting snow here. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt feels good to see Spring trying to do some springing, I just wish it would get its act together over here

ReplyDeleteWonderful flowers gang, we're so ready for blooming season here!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Lovely to see the flowers returning.
ReplyDeleteI am stunned at your flowers already. That purple one is gorgeous. I love the white blooms against the blue sky too! I lived in N Cal for a while, and I don't remember spring coming so early.
ReplyDeleteWe have absolutely no outdoor flowers yet. It snows heavily through May here, and that snow gives the flowers the water to grow and bloom.
Saw my first blooming crocus this morning and a daffodil that was considering making an appearance though tomorrow it will only be in the 20's so it may reconsider. Brr. It's been so long, I forgot how to handle the cold. 🌞Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteOMD, Rosy, how did you climb that tree?!
ReplyDeleteWe are afraid that even though we have been mild for Idaho for a month or so, that winter will rear its ugly head again before it is really spring

Although we do love our cold and snow (not the Momster), your pretty flowers do make us long for the nice days of Spring too. It will be a while before we see a crocus poke its head up here - way too cold.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We don't expect any flowers to be blooming for a few months. Our pawrents are a big jealous of your weather though but we love the snow.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to see all the pretty flowers and blooms
ReplyDeleteOH MY! You guys really have ALL the blooms bloomin'!!!! Ma's plants are REALLY confused...they are tryin' to get a head start and bloom, butts she is afraid we might actually get the start of winter soon....☺
ReplyDeleteAnyhu, did you see the good news????? JIMMY G!!!! Five years! Ma was happy as a short tailed cat in a room full of rockin' chairs! (oh, and Ma thinks he is super duper handsome or somethings...whatevers...)

We think we saw a few blooms on the forsythia, it is the first Spring plant here and we have a few flowers that bloom in the winter and of course the flowers in the greenhouse are blooming. Yesterday was Arbor Day here and we went got some trees to put out.

It's been so wonderfully snowy and cold here that nothing is even thinking about blooming yet. Our mom seems to like your Spring flowers better than our -10° windchills. I know. She's crazy, right?
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
We are ready for flowers to start blooming too! Our daffodils should be starting to poke their heads up.
ReplyDeleteOh that's neat. We can't wait for flowers here. We have awhile still

Even though we're having a "warm" spell (that means above freezing around here!), it's going to be quite a while before we see anything colorful. We really enjoyed seeing your beautiful flowers!
