Last of the Fall Colors

Happy December everybuddy! Before Winter officially arrives, we wanted to share a little fall hike Mama took a couple of weeks ago down by the Rio Grande River.

The skies were a beautiful blue and the Cottonwood tree leaves a golden yellow!

They even had a nice little area for birds to stop for a snack and drink of water!

Mama caught this little guy sunning himself on the birdy bathtub.

They have a nice big duck pond where ducks can stop and rest on their way South.

You might wonder why I'm not tagging along with Mama. Well, this area is known for having coyotes roaming the
I decided it wasn't worth the risk of me hurting a coyote, so I stayed at home and kept Jakey and Sunny company!

Now, back to the yellow leaves and blue sky!

 ...and water too!

This is the Mighty Rio Grande River.

Fall really has been beautiful here in New Mexico.....

 Now, bring on the Snow!

  4. What a beautiful area. We have coyotes right near out neighborhood. Nelson and I saw a couple while on a morning walk a couple weeks ago. They always run away when they see us but still Mom worries when we see them. Hope you get some snow soon.

  7. Niece Rosy OMDs please tell Mama that Aunty C's mind's eye saw a covered bridge in the first perfect photo. What a fabulous capture on each photo. Coyotes would surely tuck their tails and run if they saw you my sweet niece. So I bet they are happy that you stayed home.
