Backyard Blooms

Happy Pink Nature Friday!
Thanks for everyone's help on Wednesday, although it was a tough choice, I do look pretty in pink.

In honor of my most favorite color, I thought it would be nice to show you the (mostly)pink blooms in our backyard!
The dwarf apple tree had some beautiful light pink blooms this year.

Looks like we are going to have another big apple year.
The bunnies will sure be happy about that
....and so will this well seasoned wabbit hunter!

My favorite dark pink blooms are on the Crab Apple Tree!

These are usually a nice deep pink....which look really nice next to my dark furs!

They do lighten up after a few days but are still a beautiful shade of pink!

Now...the next bloom isn't pink. It is a shade close to pink though...
It's LILAC!
For some reason, we did not get many lilacs this year,

We did enjoy the sweet scent while we could.
Funny, even though lilacs are purple, they sure do smell pink to me!

Thanks for joining me for a look at all the pink(and purple) in our backyard.

What colors are you seeing in nature this week?

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

  9. You always are pretty in pink, Rosy. Those are all such beautiful flowers and we love the scent of lilacs. Did you know our city had a lilac festival that starts this week. We have a huge park in the middle of the city that has one of the largest collections of lilacs in the world! They come in all sorts of colors, even pink for you.

  12. We're seeing the crabapple trees blooming pink, and a few lilacs. Most of the early spring flowers are almost gone now. But it's great to look out the windows and see green leaves instead of bare branches.

  17. Your pink blossoms are so beautiful Rosy. I spent the week rampaging around the farmhouse with my fox terrier relatives while Gail was in Berlin. Gail says from the look of me I saw mostly mud, whereas she enjoyed the lilacs in bloom in Germany's capital.
    Toodle-oo!
