Ahoy Mateys, Cap'n Rosy Sparrow here!
Tis another Friday where we take a peek at nature throughout the lands and meet some new deck hands! Sail along with me to the South Seas of Sasebo for a peek at the flora and fauna in this great month of September.

The grounds be all manicured and raked.

with pretty trees everywhere.

There are even still signs of the warmer weather....

I wondered if my pirate ship might fit in the pond. Then I realized the monster koi might attack and sink it. Best to steer clear!

Some lush fauna...perfect for hiding buried treasure!

Aaaaaaarrrrgh, if it weren't for the monster koi we could search the caves behind that waterfall for treasure!

...and by treasure, of course, I mean foodies!
Mam' made one of these new fangled slideshow/videos featuring the Pagodas and statues of the garden (along with some relaxing waterfall sounds):

The days may be warm, but Autumn be sneaking into the Sasebo region.

These leaves be a turnin'

Very appealin' reds an' yellows don't ya think?

We be seenin' some strange lookin' pods with shiny pearls in 'em.
What do you think, should we plunder them??

The berries be a turnin' red and shiny too. A sure sign that the colder months are on the way!

Thanky Mateys for comin' along on this journey through Sasebo on Talk like a Pirate Day.
We hope all our Mateys get out and see some flora and fauna this weekend!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.

ReplyDeleteRosy, that was a furbyoulush way to share on Pirate day... I loved this!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Avast me hearties - prepare for boarding.... I'm sure you could take on a few koi carp and win Rosie. Lovely gardens though and possibly making Koi carp walk the plank wouldn't go down well with the gardeners.
ReplyDeleteYou make a mighty fine pirate, Rosy, and you and your pirate ship would have a great time in the Sasebo pond!

Hey there matey Rosy! We like your pirate locks. And we think those seeds might be setting a trap, so better leave 'em alone. And we agree, it's better to not try to traverse those sea monsters just to get to the cave. You can probably find some good treasures aka treats in your own house. As Angel Lexi says, there's no place like home. XOX Your BFF, Xena
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, you can't be too careful with those koi! Some of them grow pretty big!"
