Thankful for CeCe

Today, we want to give a shout out to CeCe and all she does for us!

She is a wonderful sun and wind block so we can sit outside and watch all the neighbor puppies enjoy nature.

She is the starting point of all our adventures

She is the place where we can listen to the pawrents plan our day...

....or relax in between adventures.

She is the place where we can bond as a family...

and last, but not least

She can take us all over the country,  making lots of memories along the way!

Thanks CeCe, for giving our lives more adventure!!

Travel Tuesday - Bonito Hollow RV Park

We had a great weekend visiting Bonito Hollow RV Park.

Brace yourself, because we know it's strange, but Mama didn't take that many pictures on this trip as usual. Luckily, most of the pictures she did take were of her beautiful and well behaved pups.
Why are you choking on your coffee Mama??
BOL!

Bonito Hollow RV Park is located in Alto, New Mexico. This is about 3 hours Southeast of Albuquerque.  We once again traveled with Mama in the Jeep behind Daddy in CeCe.
(NEWSFLASH: This month we are ALL going in CeCe for an overnight stay in Southern Colorado)

We stopped halfway for a little walk and so Sunny could bark at the people in the Rest Area
🙄🙄🙄

We got to the RV Park pretty early on Friday and got CeCe all setup for the weekend.

I, Rosy scoped out the critter situation, while Daddy checked his work peemail.

Then it was time to get out and explore the park!!

Mama and Daddy really enjoyed the park because it was quiet and relaxing. WE really liked the park because there were a TON of great smells! We didn't "see" any actual critters...but their pee(and poop)mail was ALL over! Mama and Daddy were busy trying to get Sunny not to eat it...and me(Rosy) not to roll on it....so there are no pictures. But there were horses, deer, bunnies and maybe even bears nearby!

Of course, Mama let me take pictures with the FAKE bear...

....and the local Native American was super friendly and let Sunny pose with him.
BOL!

This trip, we got to stay in CeCe all by ourself!
Mama and Daddy joined their RV club for
Dinner at a local restaurant....

We mostly snoozed!

When they got back to Cece we watched TV and snuggled until bedtime!

Join us Friday for the conclusion of our Bonito Hollow CeCe trip!

Thursday Thankfuls

Today,  we are all thankful Sunny is on the mend.
She sleeps a bunch, but is eating and getting out
to stretch her long leggies to go potty. We are very thankful for all of your good thoughts, prayers, POTP and good juju!

BUT...I am also very thankful I get to go on a special
camping trip with Daddy!! This weekend we are heading to
Santa Fe in CeCe, just Daddy and me!!

Mama and Jakey are going to stay home and take care of Sunny!
Well, since we will only be about 45 minutes away, Mama is going to come up and visit us on Saturday for a little while.

Mostly though,  it will just be Daddy and me going for walkies, eating cheese, snuggling, eating cheese, playing games, eating cheese and all the other cool things Daddy's and Daddy's little girls do together.

Thankful for my New Ride!

After many wonderful cross country adventures, our wonderful Rogue decided it was time to retire. Don't worry, she has found a new furrever home with people who will still take her on local adventures.

After searching hi and low for a new member of the family that could take us, not only for adventures by herself, but tag along behind CeCe...

I proudly introduce to you...

 Cheri, the Jeep Cherokee!
Cheri can handle rough terrain we find in our area PLUS
she can catch a ride with CeCe when we take cross country camping adventures!

All us pups will ride in style and
there is plenty of room in Cheri for treats, foodables and even Mama and Daddy's stuff in the back too!

We are so thankful we are going to have such a cool new ride!

Now, come on Mama, Adventure Awaits!!!

The Beauty of Joshua Trees

Hi Everybody!! Arty here today, staying hydrated and ready to show and tell you all about the Joshua Trees of Joshua Tree National Park. I did some research on the interwebs and found some fun facts to share with you.

The Joshua Tree, also known as a "Yucca Palm" is an evergreen plant belonging to the Lily family. It grows to be about 15-40 feet high, and up to 3 feet in diameter.

One of the theories on why it is called a "Joshua Tree"  is the Mormons in the 19th century named it becausethey thought it looked like the Profit Joshua raising his hands(branches) and pointing at the sky in the direction of the Promised Land.

The Joshua Tree has both deep and shallow root systems. The deep roots go down 10 to 30 feet to look for hard to find water sources and the shallow roots absorb any rainfall!

In Joshua Tree National Park, it was weird, because in some of the park we hardly saw any Joshua Trees at all.
In other parts though, they were all over the place! One of the reasons might have been because the trees like to live in elevations from 1300 feet to 5900 feet above sea level, cool huh?!

The Joshua Tree blooms from February to April, but only during years that are rainy.
The Pronuba(or Yucca) Moth is the only moth that can pollinate the Joshua Tree

The oldest Joshua Tree is thought to be around 1,000 years old. WOW, that's even older than Mama!! The average Joshua tree only lives to be between 100 and 200 years.

Most of all, we think the Joshua tree is an unique and beautiful tree!!

Thanks for stopping by, we hope you all enjoyed learning a bit more about the Joshua Tree.

What kind of Nature will you look for this weekend?

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.

Thankful for Good Times!

Today I am thankful for Good Times in CeCe!! Here I am waiting for Daddy to teach me how to drive. Bertie mentioned they need Truck(Lorry) Drivers in Europe...and this may help me travel to Europe and find a job!

Bertie...did you figure out a way to use the petals on the floor yet???

I am also thankful that we are headed out Saturday for our trial run as a whole pack in CeCe. I've got my paws crossed that everything goes well!!!

The Big Rocks of Joshua Tree National Park

Welcome to Joshua Tree National Park!
 (kinda)

Welcome to the beginning of what we think will be more than a few Nature Fridays where we'll be showing you around this beautiful park!

This Friday and next Friday we will show you our favorite parts of the park, and then we'll be sprinkling in a few more Joshua Tree posts here and there for awhile.
(Mama took a LOT of pictures!)

Today, as we drive through the park, we want to show you the GREAT BIG rock formations we explored.

It's funny, we thought Joshua Tree National Park was all desert. It was hot and during the day it got up in the 90s(F). Still too hot for hiking, but not the 120F temperatures Arty experienced when traveling through the Mojave Desert. Plus, is seemed like everywhere we looked, there were rocks and mountains, not desert!

Look at the different kind of rocks we saw...

There were great big rock piles like this all over the park. Daddy was amazed and said it looked like nature had a BIG dump truck full of extra rocks and emptied it in the middle of nowhere.  It must have taken millions of years to form these rock piles...How cool is that?!

Then there are these beautiful boulders that seem to be placed in perfect piles randomly around the park....When I asked Daddy about these, he showed me a video that might help explain!

For those who want more information, you can read all about it HERE

No matter how the boulders were formed, they sure are beautiful!!

I especially like this pile, the rock on the bottom left side almost looks like one of those big clams on the bottom of the ocean!

It seemed like everywhere we looked we found pretty rock formations!

We even found a beautiful formation with a picnic area, where we ate our lunch!

Just look at beautiful boulders, it looks like someone chiseled a pretty design on them, but this is actually part of the formation!!

We had a pawsome time exploring the rock formations in Joshua Tree National Park!!

Join us next Friday when we go in search of the desert!!

Wishing you all a pawesome weekend filled with adventure!
