Happy Thanksgiving

  

 This year I am thankful we got our very own wheelie house. I really enjoy our CeCe adventures!

 

 

 I am thankful that Mama made  ME the official taste tester for alllll

the Thanksgiving foodies!!

 

 

 

 

Sure she did, Sunny *wink wink*. 

 I am thankful for Mama and Daddy and Greenies, of course!

 

We are all so very thankful for all our furiends, near and far.  All of your comments, cards, emails and condolences for the loss of Arty reminded us how much he was truly loved.

A Life Well Lived - Arty 5/31/10 - 11/11/21

Dearest Rosy,

I'm sorry I had to leave without saying a proper goodbye.  The owies and itchies were just too much and I heard Angel Dory calling me to the beautiful land of no more pain. I sure have missed Dory,  it will be wonderful to see her again. Don't worry, Mama and Daddy were holding me, petting me and telling me how much they loved me as I left for the Rainbow Bridge.  I know they will be extra sad for awhile, so make sure you give them lots of  extra snuggles and kisses.

 

 

Take good care of Jakey and Sunny and show them how much fun CeCe can be. I know I am leaving before showing everyone our latest adventure. Don't let Mama skip telling everyone about it. We had a great time, and it was the best road trip finale a guy could ask for.

Tell Mabel I love her, we had so many great adventures together both virtually and in the furs! 

 

 

In fact, please let Blogville know how much I will miss them. It was such an honor to be the Mayor of such a fun and loving community. I am looking forward to having margaritas with Ruby and visiting Tucker's Everlasting Buffet! I can't wait to see to see Bilbo, Bailey, Hazel, Mango, Dexter, Sasha, Dennis, Trixie, Sugar, Declan, Lexi, Emma, Madi, Casey, Jessie, Whitley, Finley, Big Boy, Pocket, Foley and so many other Blogville Angels. Imagine the Thanksgiving pawty we'll be having! I am so lucky to have known you all and shared so many fun times with you all.

I know it's hard to say goodbye, but we will see each other again someday and I will always live furrever in your heart. I know you'll be a very good girl...and you'll be the bestest big sister ever!

Training Thankfuls

 

 So this happened this week. I decided Arty's face isn't so bad if there are lots of cookies being delivered!

From Mama: After a week of playing "find the treats" through the fence that separates the two of them, and a very successful session with them playing "find the treats"

together with the fence open, we decided to level up and move them into the same room.  See the video below for the "Find the Treats" game. We are lucky our pups are taught from an early age to share food and neither Arty nor Sunny are food guarders.

After a couple of pictures, we called it a PAWESOME success and ended the session on a pawsitive note! We'll try this a few more times and then start adding our furry distractions(Rosy and Jakey)

Note: Arty and Sunny will most likely wear leashes and harnesses, when in the same room,  for the foreseeable future.

 

This week we are so thankful that we are training Sunny to not be so impulsive in her barking and to slow down and smell the cookies!

Thankful for ICE CREAM!

 

I know Valentines Day is over, but I wanted to share how lucky I am! My Best Gal Mabel sent me the bestest Valentine surprises ever!! 

 

Not only did she send me delicious smelling Orange Sherbet cologne, she also sent ICE CREAM and not any kind, she sent Maple Bacon flavored ice cream!!!

 

 

 I can almost taste it already!!

Needless to say, I asked Mama to make it right away. It was easy peasy, just add some water, mix it up real good and throw it in the freezer. 5 hours later, it's NOM time!!

Mama took a video of Rosy and I enjoying some Ice Cream after dinner last night.

Our Favorite Place to Hike

 

Welcome to this week's edition of Nature Friday! Since this weekend is Valentine's Day, we thought we would show you some pictures of a place we all love to hike, the Arcata Marsh!

 

 

 

 Believe it or not, some of the trees are already starting to bloom! We sure hope we don't get another cold snap before Spring truly arrives!

 

 

 

 The trees still have a long way to go before things are green again though.

 

 

 

 

 Not that the marsh doesn't look good in the Winter too.

 

 The clouds and bare limbs of the trees make pretty reflections, don't you think?

 

 

It's easier to see the birdies without leaves on the trees too!

 

 

 

 Plus, we can go for longer hikes when it's cooler outside.

 

 

 

 We have to say that although it's pretty in the winter, we are also looking forward to the sunnier days of Spring!
