Training Thankfuls

So this happened this week. I decided Arty's face isn't so bad if there are lots of cookies being delivered!

From Mama: After a week of playing "find the treats" through the fence that separates the two of them, and a very successful session with them playing "find the treats"
together with the fence open, we decided to level up and move them into the same room.  See the video below for the "Find the Treats" game. We are lucky our pups are taught from an early age to share food and neither Arty nor Sunny are food guarders.
After a couple of pictures, we called it a PAWESOME success and ended the session on a pawsitive note! We'll try this a few more times and then start adding our furry distractions(Rosy and Jakey)

You can also watch the video HERE on YouTube

Note: Arty and Sunny will most likely wear leashes and harnesses, when in the same room,  for the foreseeable future.

This week we are so thankful that we are training Sunny to not be so impulsive in her barking and to slow down and smell the cookies!

We would be extra thankful for some more cookies Mama!

Thank you Brian for hosting the

the investment of your time in Sunny (and Arty) will, I am sure, pay off. It can be very waring when two family members don't get on! YAM xx

  2. We are good if there is nothing to cause high excitement levels. If Mom hears the delivery truck coming and it might stop here, one of us needs to go away for a few minutes. No stress situations and things are good but it is constant work for Mom. It is nice to all be able to be together in her office all day while she is working.

  8. We're glad you're all getting along. We didn't have too much fighting when we had as many as three doggies in the house. The "Top Dog" title was passed from one to another without much problem.

  9. Seeing the two of them together on the video, we are wondering if Arty isn't just jealous of Sunny's long legs!

  13. What a great idea, and it sure does seem to be working. I'm gonna ask Mom to try that with Xena and Chia, and maybe get them to be good to each other before this rivalry for top dog gets any worse. And I bet she'll throw me some cookies while she's doing it! XOX Lucy

  15. Lulu: "Yay! Progress! Mama did a lot of training with us here when I was new to make sure I didn't try to chase the cats and to make sure that the cats, specifically Chaplin, didn't try to chase me."
Chaplin: "I wouldn't have chased you. I would have just boxed you into the corner and kept you there under the threat of my murder mittens."
Lulu: "Uh-huh, yeah, that doesn't sound much better."
