I, Bilbo have my very own eating area. You see I like to take my time when I eat. Take a few nibbles, then take a snooze. Then maybe you see what needs to be snoopervised , and then come back and eat some more. In order to do this with out certain piggies eating my food Mama and Daddy, under my snoopervision, have designed my very own eating area! Follow me upstairs and let me show you!

Here it is!! The raspberry is for Dory and Jacob who can no
longer munch on my dinner!

Even a built in napkin for leftover pumpkin on my snooter!!

Wow, Bilbo, not only you dine with style but also have your own dining room... you're the boss alright. I normally have my dinner al fresco at the porch unless its raining, then I'll munch in the kitchen.

Hi Bilbo - we are impressed at how seriously you have thought this through. We admit we're like piggy 1 and piggy 2, erm, we mean Dory and Jacob when we eat, but having seen this post we're begining to think there might be something to this 'savouring every bite' malarky. ReplyDeleteHi Bilbo! We eat in the kitchen. Not right next to each other though....I (Chloe) eat all my dinner at once and don't go back. LadyBug, on the other paw...she picks....and she takes her time...and she sees whether she can steal food from everyone else's bowl...and she literally picks pieces of her food out of the bowl and deposits it on the floor...for later...I guess?? She just is a very messy eater. Hey...maybe she needs a backsplash! xoxoxoxo Chloe (and LadyBug too)

We start out with Carrleigh eating in the kitchen and Piper and Lilly in the living room and Ruairi eating in the crate. and then we all switch. Lilly eats the top off of her food and then goes to Piper's who is now eating Lilly's. Mom guards Ruairi's by feeding him in the crate, and when everyone is done, Carrleigh cleans it up. WHEW!!

ReplyDeleteWe love your own personal dining space and you are very lucky to have such special peoples to recognize your needs.
I, Madi, have my dining area set up beside the china cabinets and not far from the peoples dining table. My theory is to always be near where my food and the people food is. In the morning I get a dabble of Fancy Feast (hardly enough for a bird) and 1/3 cup of Purina one kibble. I scarf the FF down in a nanosecond. But I graze on the kibble for most of the morning. IN the evening I repeat the above routine. I don't have any piglets to interrupt my dining.

ReplyDeleteme and my big sis asa have our place mats and bowls in the kitchen, right next to each other. we eat at the same time, and we eat all of our foodables at once. when we finish, i go over to asa's dish and lick it, and asa comes over to my dish and licks it. teehee.

Hi Bilbo... I like to eat really slow too. Sometimes it takes until 10:30 for me to finish my supper.. and sometimes I never do. I love to drive my mom and dad crazy with trying to put my foods in all sorts of different places all over the house and porches and even on the deck. I just mostly ignore it all. hehehe

We're what's called free feeders... so the munchables are out all day and we snack when we want! It works for us - we aren't piggys.

Like you, Bilbo, I enjoy grazing throughout the day! No specific meal times for me! Usually, my foodstuffs is just in the living room, but I really enjoy tossing my bowl in the air and spreading the food all over the floor. It's nice to make a game out of dinner.

ReplyDeleteBrudder Ranger and me eats all our food at once but Brudder Ranger eats his in the kitchen and I eats mine in my condo. Cuz, see, if Brudder Ranger says he wants my food, I just go ahead and let him eat it cuz I luvs him so much. But mom says it's MY food and Brudder Ranger doesn't need to be eating MY food and when I eat in my condo, he doesn't ask me to share.

Dear Bilbo, you have no idea about the wrangling we do in my home so we can all eat. We each have special diets, dogs and cats, and we all eat one another's food. It would take a few posts to explain but I'll try to elaborate on this in the future.

I eat on my observation deck unless it is raining or snowing really badly. This provides the buffer of an actual door between my large and savoring my foodables self and little PeeWee annoying eats anything in 60 seconds or less. He has to eat in the kitchen.

ReplyDeleteVery nice to have your own private dining room, Bilbo. Ciara has to eat gated in the laundry room because she likes to eat out of everyone's bowl. But Phantom and TD get to be in the kitchen. Phantom eats slowly too and sometimes Mom has to put the others out so he can finish in peace. He think it is very nice to have such consideration.

You have a great resturant going there Bilbo....Mom gives me food in the family room where I have a tile for my bowls. I really like to have a taste of whatever is being eaten at the table but that hardly ever happens. Once in a while I do get lucky though so I must add that I eat under the dinner table BOL....
