| Black and White Vet Selfies |
Hi all, Dory here to let you know about our VET visit on Friday!! Bilbo has severe dry eye and has to have an ointment rubbed on his eyes everyday and the dogtur also gave him Metecam for his hip owies! Over all, he is doing pretty darn good for a soon to be 14 year old!! Thanks for all your good vibes and POTP for him!
Mama dragged me along with Bilbo to get my "pre-BAR" check up! I am a pretty healthy girl too! My heart is doing well and Mama had them check a couple of lumpy bumpies that turned out to just be fatty cysts, hurray!! After a quick flu vaccine, I was cleared for our roadtrip!!
The dogtur stole some of our bloods and peepee for testing, but she thought we were in GREAT shape for Senior Pups!!

ReplyDeleteWe are glad that the vet visits went well...as senior pups ourselves, we certainly understand. Metacam is like liquid gold for us....it works very well when we have aches and pains. Sure hope the eye ointment works well for Bilbo. Our mama uses eye ointment for her eyes too at night...she has terrible dry eyes too.

Congratulations on some good check ups! The dry eye sounds like a real pain, but at least there is a treatment! Katie took Metacam for a while for her arthritis issues, but the help was short term. So far, the only thing that has worked like a miracle for her is Rejenease which we all not take as a supplement.

ReplyDeleteHey Bilbo... I (Frankie Furter) have to have Optimune in My eyeballs every day... it causes me to make Tears like a Champ. Hope your medicine does the same fur YOU... We are glad that you got somethingy fur your Hip Owies, too.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh we are so happy that Bilbo has a nice soothing med for his eyes and his hip.
ReplyDeleteMom says she can identify with him. The pollen makes her eyes dry and she has sciatica issues sometimes. As our Mayorz assistant says...we will keep moving!!
Dory mom is so excited to meet you and Arty...and she will remember that even though she knews you two ....you don't know her so she'll contain her excitment

Bilbo - you will learn to love those eye drops. We had a dog (Acadia) who lost all ability to make ANY tears in the last year of her life. We had to put in drops once per hour. After a while, she knew it would feel good, and she'd turn her head upward and help us do it. I bet you'll reach that point too!

hello dory its dennis the vizsla dog hay i am glad yoo ar all dooing wel!! it is not eezy beeing a seenyor dog!!! tel bilbo not to wurry abowt his eye tucker had dry eye and got sumthing calld puraloob in his eyes evry day for yeerz and yeerz and he did just fine!!! ok bye
