Last Wednesday and Thursday we went for a little road trip up the Oregon Coast.
Guess who flew in on Blogville Pawty Plane to join us?
That's right...Blogville's very own Diva, Madi, flew all the way across the country from North Carolina to join us on a fun filled couple of days Lighthouse hopping!!
After we loaded Madi's luggage into the Rogue, we all piled in and hit the road!!
First stop on the Lighthouse tour was Battery Point Lighthouse, of course Mama was clicking pictures all over the place! Here is one with all of us in front of the lighthouse.

We knew it was quite a ways to the next lighthouse so we all settled in for the long ride.
87 hours later we arrived at Heceta Head Lighthouse, Mama used a bit of artistic posing of us on the hills below the lighthouse since it had started drizzling a bit...
(You can read more about Heceta Head Lighthouse HERE)
The rain stopped by the time we arrived in Newport, OR, where we were spending the night. Arty thought it would be a great idea to show Madi his ocean! We all had a nice walkie along the beach before checking into our hotel for the evening!
After a dinner of kibble for some of us, and fresh fishies for others, we relaxed and watched some TV.
We played a few fun pre-sleep games before we all fell asleep for the night!
The next morning, we ate breakfast...
...and Mama took us out for a walkie before heading back down the coast and to see more lighthouses!!
Unfortunately the rain picked up, along with the wind, for some of our trip. Needless to say, we told Mama we were NOT getting out of the car until it stopped raining!
We all agreed that if we didn't have to actually get wet, we would pose for pictures...Here is a picture of Madi in front of the Umpqua Lighthouse(Mama loves the Fresnel lens in this lighthouse!)

We stopped for awhile at the Bandon Lighthouse and explored while Mama ate lunch.
(Click HERE to read more about the Bandon Lighthouse, also known as the Coquille River Lighthouse)
After lunch, we knew it was time to get Madi back to the airport.
Mama had gotten a bit turned around, so Rosy and Madi stopped and asked Miss Goose for directions!
Thank goodness we asked directions when we did, because it started POURING again! We almost missed this last lighthouse, the Cape Blanco Lighthouse. Thank goodness it had its light on for us!

We finally made it back to the Airport so Madi could get the Blogville Pawty Plane back to North Carolina before her dinner time!
Thanks so much for coming to see us Madi, we hope you have the HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!
Make sure you wish Madi a Happy Birthday and hop aboard the Mad Madi Road Trip Blog Hop!

I, mom of Madi, am quite jealous of your trip as I would have loved to see each and every single lighthouse fog, rain, wind and all.
Looks like your Mama is a good driver Madi was sleeping like a log. When she rides with me she sings the song of her people in 1st soprano.
She thanks you for the very fun trip and most of all the fishies and road trip songs...that were actually fun and not yowling.
