Welcome to the first Nature Friday of February!
Today I want to show a little of our rainy road trip to Newport, OR a couple of weeks ago!
When we left home it was raining pretty good...and I have to admit, I thought the weekend would be a big wash out!
By the time we got to our first stop, it was raining even harder!
Jakey told me to put on a happy face and remember how it is better to be all together in the rain, than alone in the sunshine!
I decided to follow Jakeys advice, and sat back and enjoyed the journey. We even saw the sun peek out for a few minutes!
We had Daddy pull over at a park so we could take a quick walkie before it started raining again!
Arty and I did some exploring while it was drizzling and Arty didn't even mind getting wet!!
Mama let Daddy give us our snacks while she took pictures of her favorite light house.
Wow, look at those waves churning!!
I hope you enjoyed seeing a little bit of our rainy day road trip, and the good news is, we had a blast as a family and can't wait for our Spring road trip to Bryce Canyon!!
We hope everyone gets out and sees some nature this weekend!
Show
us your nature! It can be a
picture of your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a
picture from a walk! Any kind of nature picture will do(does not have
to include a pet)!
Well done Rosy. You have proved once and for all that road trips are ALWAYS worth taking, even when the rain is bucketing down!
ReplyDeleteWe love lighthouse photos too.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
wow that was a wet but beautiful roadtrip... is that a pentagram on the wall of that house next to the lighthouse?

What a beautiful road trip, even though it was a wee bit wet!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so pretty, too bad it was raining, but it sounds like you had fun anyway. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteRain or not, that was a very nice trip! What a pretty place, we bet it's even prettier in the sunshine.

It's a bummer about the rain, but the scenery was amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you all had a great time on your road trip despite the rain. We love all the scenery pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh Arty, Jakey and Rosy....simply beautiful...Professor Jakey was 87,000% correct, this sentence sums it up purrrrrrfectly
ReplyDelete"Jakey told me to put on a happy face and remember how it is better to be all together in the rain, than alone in the sunshine!"

What a fun and beautiful road trip. Thank you for taking us
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you all had a nice time.
ReplyDeleteNewport is probably my most favorite place in Oregon. Whenever I went I called it ExplOregon-ing. The Heceta Lighthouse always makes me smile. It's one of the most picturesque places in the PNW.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful sights, even in the rain! Glad you pups got to go along!
