Texas Flowery Nature Friday(from the archives)

(Originally posted 7/21/17)

Today Mini Arty, Mama and I(Mini Jakey) are going to wrap up our Texas visit with a look at some of the  flowers we saw along our journey!

The hotel had a beautimous gazebo surrounded with rose bushes!

The dwarf bottle brush flowers look like the type of fireworks even the real Jakey would like!

There was a ton of Oleander in all shades of pretty colors!

Of course, this flowering plant can be found all over Texas...

Mama really misses the Crepe Myrtle. While it grows all over the Texas Hill Country, it doesn't grow here behind the Redwood Curtain!

There were a variety of creative plant arrangements around Main Street, Marble Falls!

Purple heart(sometimes know as Purple Queen) plants filled some planters...

...and Hibiscus could be found in other containers!

Lots of little rose bushes were everywhere

We saw some yellow bell flowers

...and what we think is some kind of Trumpet flower.

We even saw some little yellow succulent flowers!

Again...not sure if this is trumpet vine with pink flowers...but it sure is pretty!!

Last, but not least, Mama's most favorite Texas flower....

Breathtaking  Lantana in pink and orange!!

We hope y'all have a Groot-y weekend!!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE

  11. Flowers are perfect for today - we have fresh snow, 15°F, and 25 mph wind. Definitely wintery. So your flowers were a balm for my soul. I hope that your mama is doing okay - it must be so hard. I've been thinking of her and her family.
