Happy Beach, I mean Nature, Friday!!
I thought we'd take a ride out to my ocean today, not only to see the beautiful Pacific Ocean, but also to take a look at the amazing beach flowers!
The Yellow Sand Verbena is everywhere!!
It's so cheerful, don't you think?
It's like a whole bouquet of flowers in one!!
I sure do love the sound of the ocean, don't you?? Oh...that's right, you can't hear it, can you? MAMAMAMA, why don't you post that video....
You can also view it HERE
on YouTube
We found a few Beach Morning Glories peaking out of the sand too! Aren't they pretty with there yellow middles and purply-pink edges?!
This Beach Strawberry is one of the two wild strawberry plants that were hybridized
to create today's strawberry! How cool is that?!
Let's walk down the beach a bit and see what else we can find....
Ooooo, there it is...Mama's and my FAVORITE beach flower.....
A form of beach sweet pea, this pretty plant blooms at the same time as the local Lupine flowers. Mama and I like to call it mini-lupine
Thank for joining me on my beach flower walk today!
We hope everyone has time to smell the flowers this weekend!!
