Thankful for Ladybug Season!

The other day when Mama and I were sitting on the back porch, we saw our first ladybug!!

Did you know that, along for being known for bringing good luck, ladybugs can be beneficial for your garden?? Do you hate those little aphid bugs that eat your plants? Well, the ladybug's
most favorite food is the aphid!
They also like to eat mealybugs and lace bugs!!
You can read about the benefits of ladybugs HERE.
I think the most important benefit is Ladybugs add beauty and style to any garden or backyard!
Thanks ladybugs, for all you do!!

Important little garden pals, those ladybirds (as we call them in the UK). They are so decorative... a bit like your pretty self, Rosy! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  2. It seems each insect has its own thing in life, I assume the lives of aphids are to provide food for ladybugs. we have never had ladybugs, but did have ladybug look alikes that turned out to be bad for the plants. for the life of me can't remember the name of the bugs. you make a really cute ladybug Rosy

  3. The ladybugs are so pretty and I don't mind when they come inside the house but Molly didn't agree.

  4. You look adorable in your ladybug attire. We don't have any out and about here yet, but they will come.

  5. We love ladybugs too, Rosy. You are so cute in your ladybug bandana.

  6. Niece Rosy OMDs...OMDs you are very festive in your Red hair bow and ladybug bandana.
I do so love them too. For such tiny critters they do a great big job

  7. Lulu: "Our Dada says he saw a ladybug out in our backyard the other day when he was tidying up some stuff for Mama! Years ago we got a shipment of ladybugs in the mail to try deal with nasty bugs, I wonder if that was one of their descendents ..."

  8. I think ladybugs are another body that angels use to visit us. They are always a good sign

  9. We haven't seen any ladybugs here yet, but we bet Mom would appreciate their help. Meanwhile, we think you are the cutest ladybug ever!!!

  10. Real ladybugs are wonderful. Those nasty Asian beetles that look like ladybugs but stink and bite are not, and we've been invaded by them in the past several years.

  11. Our ladybugs have come and gone already. They get in our big front window and die and Mommy has to vacuum up their dead bodies off the windowsill and floor. Yuck. But you make a cute ladybug, Rosy! XOX Xena and my pack

We love to read your peemails!!
