Today, on Backyard Wildlife Wednesday, Mama wants to share some video TC took of a bird we haven't seen since Spring, the Black Headed Grosbeak. We think he is stopping back by our watering hole on is way South for the Winter. I wasn't sure we should feature him because he looks pretty ragged. Mama is pretty sure he's getting ready to "Molt". That means he's getting ready to replace his feathers.
(As always, feel free to visit our YouTube Channel HERE)

We wish Mr. Grossbeak a safe flight South.
and can't wait to see his new, bright feathers next Spring!

ReplyDeleteYou are the cutest sunflower we've ever seen, Sunny. Mr. Grossbeak is so lucky to have found your watering hole on his way south.
ReplyDeleteOur babies are leaving us too. It's that time. What a lovely video. I'm sure he'll be handsome next Spring.
