Thankful for Patience - Training in Progress

This week our pack is thankful for the challenge of getting along.

 Mama...why is HE out here???
Well Sunny, we want to show you Arty isn't as scary as you think he is!

 I don't think he's scary Mama, I just don't like his face!
Well Rosy, we think it's time you and Arty spend more time getting to know each other.

 Will there be cookies involved??
If you are nice and quiet and look at me when I ask, you can have lots of cookies!!

Mama, what is SHE doing out here??
Well Arty, you and Sunny need to start getting along better if we are going to be able to take family vacations. We are going to start with you both hanging out together outside...and then we'll move inside and see what happens.

I'll do my best to be patient Mama, as long as you keep those cookies coming!!

Cookies?? I might take on the challenge of being nice for cookies!!

From Mama: Many of you already know Sunny and Arty do not get along.  For the most part they still  live in different spaces, alternating times to spend with "the pack". We have decided it's time to get Sunny and Arty to a point where they can tolerate each other in a closer space.  We know if we don't introduce them to the idea of living in a smaller space together soon, we may never have peace or get to travel as a full pack in CeCe. Our goal to slowly get them to share a space without constant barking or fear of violence.

We know there is a chance one or the other may always need to be crated and we know they will never be able to be left alone in the same space, but we are determined and thankful for the challenge to be able to live in a more peaceful pack situation.

Thank you Brian for hosting the

Crashing Waves and Rays of Hope

What a crazy couple of months it has been here on the Northy North Coast of California. Mama says it kind of reminds her of the ocean...

It started with just small foamy problems....in our case, this was mostly growing local COVID numbers

 ...and as we watched...

 The waves kept building.....

...as our county was put in COVID's dreaded "purple" zone (the highest tier in California)

Then the waves crashed as Rosy had her first seizure.

The vet hasn't found any major problems and Rosy's blood work looks good so, for now, we are keeping a journal to track how often she has seizures. Luckily, she has only had an additional two episodes in the past three weeks. Angel Bilbo also had seizures when he was a four or five years old(Rosy is three and a half) and they passed. We are hoping Rosy's do the same thing. All of this, has made Mama a bit scatter brained...

So we are glad there are rays of sunshine emerging along the edge of the tumultuous waves of 2020. Hopefully, the COVID vaccine will make everyone's New Year a bit brighter!

We hope 2021 brings everyone more rays of hope and less big waves!!!
