Flowers in Our Backyard Friday

 Happy Flower Friday everybody!!

 Today I wanted to show you the flowers we have blooming in the backyard!!

 Mama has been missing the Lantana plants we used to have in Texas, so when she saw these beauties in a basket she told me she had to have them to hang on my back porch!

 She also bought a basket of sunny, yellow Lantana mixed with some pretty cornflower type flower and another basket with beautimous yellow and purple petunias!

 Look over here, we have some pretty flowers against our back fence too!

 Our hastas are in bloom!
Aren't they a pretty shade of purple??

 I wish you could smell this Jasmine, it smells heavenly!

 Lastly we have what Daddy calls "Not Tiger Lilies" cause they look like tiger lilies but they aren't! Mamas smarty pants app says they are Montbretia, I think I like Daddy's name better!

Thinking of Rain on Thankful Thursday

 This week we are thankful for the morning drizzles we have been getting here on the Northy North Lost Coast of California 

 It has been keeping the temperatures cool and helps protect us from fire hazards

 ...and although it may look like I am singing the "Rain, Rain Go Away" song, Squiggy and I are really hoping it will rain South and East of us to help the brave first responders put out the horrible wildfires in those areas (and other fires raging across the western half of the USA).

Squiggy and I are sending lots of POTP to all those, both human and animal, who are effected by these fires.

National Lighthouse Day

Happy National Lighthouse Day! 

The one day a year that Mama doesn't

seem totally cray-cray about her obsession love of Lighthouses! We tried to pick just one lighthouse to profile...but we couldn't narrow it down. So we thought we show you some of our favorites we have seen over the past few years. If you click on it's name, we will magically transport you to a page where you can read more about the lighthouse!

 Here I am in from of the Heceta Head Lighthouse

The Trinidad Head Memorial Lighthouse isn't a working lighthousem but it is a pretty one. It recently has been moved from the location above to...

Next up we have the Battery Point Lighthouse in Crescent City, California.  It's located on a hill and can only be visited during low tide!

It's also where Angel Dory met the Doodz!!

Here we have the Coquille River Lighthouse in Bandon Oregon!

 Angel Dory and I visited this lighthouse during our 2016 Lighthouse Tour!

This is the Cape Arago Lighthouse

Mama and I(and Angel Dory)spent a long time driving around trying to find this one!

Last, but not least, we have the Meares Lighthouse we visited last Summer during the Mini BAR. Mama especially loves the lens on this Lighthouse.

Flower Friday with a Guest Garden

Happy Flower Friday!! Today, I am allowing Mama to show some of her flower pictures from when we were in camp and she and Daddy were in Ohio.

Mama and Daddy visited Stan Hywet Gardens near Akron, Ohio

I know Squiggy, it does look like a pretty place doesn't it?

There were all kinds of pretty sunflowers!

There was some pretty purple flowers with bumble bees...

...and pretty lavender with bumble bees too!!

Thankful for my Health Thursday

 I have so much to be thankful for this week.  First, I am thankful for all my friends who sent me POTP! It is working and each day I am feeling better and better! Although I will probably always have allergies sickies, the snotty upper respiratory infection/flu I had really knocked me for a loop!

 Next, thanks also to my Vet who saw me lickedy split and gave me medicine to help me feel better!

 Also, a very special thanks also to my Mama and Daddy who have been snuggling with me every night, even when I sneezied and snuffled all night for the past.

We were all thankful that we all slept through the night yesterday night!!

Finally, Since I am feeling a bit better every day, Mama says next week we can start going for short walkies! Soooooo, I am very thankful I will get to start going for walkies again next Monday!
